I'm planning on getting an 8gb ipod touch (don't ask why), and I just need to know, how long would its battery life be?

 

Lets say, I leave it on all day connected to my home internet via wifi uploading things to youtube, how long would battery life last?

Could I keep it plugged in?

Can it upload other types of files to other sites? Like, .rars to megaupload?

Can it run p2p programs (like utorrent)? Or do I have to mod it to do that?

Do I NEED to use itunes to put music and video on it? Or can I just plug it in via usb and have my computer copy files to it like it is an external hard drive?

Depends but I would say 2-3 hours at most.

No, look for a hack or mod.

You need iTunes. iPod Touches don't pull up as external hard drives.

 

What ever your trying to do with it, I personally don't think it would be worth it.

I'm not sure. I doubt there is even one out there is even one out there for what you want to be honest. Thats why I said it wouldn't be worth it because it'll require a lot of search. I think your best bet would be to look into jailbreaking the touch and see what you can do with that.

Why would you want to torrent on a ipod touch? You'd need to be connected to a wireless network, so you're better off doing it on a computer.

I am going to use it to upload to YT, megaupload, and torrents when I'm not home, because my computer's PSU makes my fan run at 4krpm. Loudly.
