Good combat magic training

The xp isn't exactly great, but Metal Dragons spring to mind.

Depending on how many you intend to kill depends on the profit/loss situation, but they're possibly the most viable option to train on if you're looking for a long-term profit possibility.

If not, im told Blue Dragons make a profit too. But i've never tried that.

Blue dragons make twice what you spend all the time. :)

If you want combat magic training, theres only 4 choices that i trust:

*Soloing rex

*sallying barrows/avvys

*maging blue dragons

*maging red dragons

Decent profit and xp to be gained from all of these methods.

I wouldn't exactly advice Salamander at Barrows for fast xp, it doesn't give 4 per damage. I think its like 2.5 but i may be wrong. You could try slayer dart there - its not as fast as some other methods, but you'll definitely make money.

I usually say this because of price concerns, but slayer dart is pretty nice xp compared to sally.

It depends on preference.

Yeah, no doubt. It was very useful, but if hes aiming for magic xp it may not be your best bet.

Or, looking at the bigger picture, you could use Salamander to maximise profits and gain runes, then use those runes for bursting lobs or for 'free' magic experience in other places.
