There was one part of the barrows guide that struck me with some intrigue. They discussed how black salamanders were the best option for it, but never truly commented on a cost effective option for it. I have one that may work...here's the screenshot for it. I ended up only needing about 3 monkfish and 8 doses (or 2 full) prayer potions for each trip, killing all 6 brothers each time...and I only have 76str,74mage,and 70 ranged. Feel free to use this screenshot, just give me some credit for it...kk?

 

Thanks for your notification. It's going very slow at the moment, but I'm giving the barrows guide a beg rewrite and this was indeed one of the issues I'm aware of. This is also the reason I'm not going to credit you, as I've already covered this part of the guide. Sorry. :( I really do appreciate your input though, as if I wasn't already working on it, I'd have been a great add-on to our guide.

On the topic of salamanders, it should be noted that using a RED salamander is actually a plausible option over the Black Salamander. It's only about 10-20% slower, but the ammo is 50% the cost of the black salamander's ammo.

 

For richer players, the extra speed may make the black sally worth it, or they may simply not care about the extra few thousand spent. But for poorer players, it's worth mentioning.

Another minor correction on this page -

 

The section on Kill Count has a table of what KC yields what drops. Below the table it says "Other possible rewards from the chest are Key halves and Dragon Medium helms. These two's relation to KC is currently still unknown." But these two things appear in the table above with the KC required to get them!
