If you're F2P I don't think you should really worry too much - just watch the graphs as time passes.

 

I don't think the mauls are going to drop because of the increase in tokkul drops. Nobody buys anything with Tokkul except Onyx.

Well, since the Tokkul update, it is likely more people are camping at the monsters in Tzhar, thus increasing the supply of mauls in gathering tokkul for the onyx gem.
