jus finished the quest for MTK so does anyone offer advise in how much money i should put in or what i should put the money into?

As of yesterday, herbs are by far the most profitable.

 

Raw fish and maples are close to each other, nearly tied for a (distant) second place.

As to the amount to put in the treasury, that depends on how long you are going to leave it without replenishing. Note that you will have to visit on a regualkr basis to keep the citizens happy and productive. With both quests complete, the kingdom burns $75,000/day (and is the most productive). The maximum that can be deposited is $7.5M

It doesn't really matter if you let it run down each day. I only get favour back up to 100% once a week when i go to collect my items. It only loses 1% a day so it isn't that much of a loss.

 

Here is another calc to look at when doing MTK. I suggest have 10 workers on herbs right now. The other 5 is up to you, Personally i do Raw fish for profit that i know i will get. You can do maples and hope for some decent seeds from the nests, but thats up to you.
