F2P Alching - Helping get rid of loss?

Featured Replies

What can I do while alching on f2p to help get rid of some of my losses/alch?

I have heard you can buy eye of newts from the witch and sell them on the GE for profit, is this a good idea?

They will most likely respawn too slowly.

Better option is to craft runes, such as waters, alching while running to and from the bank.

Since P2P got eye of newt boxes they have become relativly worthless. You can still buy them for a profit but you will be making far less then it's worth.

I suggest alching in an addy mine, perhaps the wilderness mine (if you want to risk it) or the lumby swamp (also has mith) Then you can alch as you wait for the ores to respawn. Plus, you can superheat the ores to get more GP and EXP.

With a world of 1000 people addy ore will respawn in 6 minutes so if there are 2 rocks where you alch then you can get 20 ores per hour. That is like 30k per hour. That is enough to offset the cost a fair bit. Then after you alch, just mine a couple loads of coal, super heat and you will make more.

Thanks for the fast replies, some great ideas.

I think I'll try the runecrafting idea, since I really want 60 rc, but if I ever decide to put my nose to the grindstone I'll do some mining and alching/superheating.
