Monky
Hi there, Iv been a part of this forum for a fair while but do usually not have alot to submit unless it is of a topic i could be helpful with. I come to you guys for a little help... As you can see from my slayer level I am entertained by that skill and im wondering what the best set for me would be as im currently doing a spot of merchanting (somthing im not overly confident in but i need some extra cash for the gear im looking to get). I expect to have have 15 - 17 mil cash pile by the end of my little merchant mission. I already have bando's boots, slayer mask, rune defender and whip but what armour shoud i be looking at getting for optimising strength bonus and what not. I have a bunyip so great defence is not a great worry but obviously bunyip isnt great at keeping up with constant considerable damage and i would prefer to have room for drops ect. So with my budget there what do you think i should be looking at. The spots i need to fill are as follows: CapeChestLegsRing (planning on zerker)Ammy (fury im guessing)Weapons (any additional ones i might need against certain monsters aka Water fiends)and basicly anything a serious slayer should need Thank you guys Monky "We shouldn't wish for easier lives, we should wish to be stronger men"

A saradomin sword works great against water fiends and you can train strength with it. You could get a zammy spear to use at waterfiends. I would recommend a enchanted excalibur. The bandos boots get rid of them dragon at a 100 times better. I don't' know what your summoning level it but if it is not 68 then get guthans. Everything else looks good. A obby cape or a skill cape works well along this the argadoge achivement cape level 3. Edit: I reread your post and say that you do have 68 summoning. great I would also recommend karil or black d hide. I prefer karil as it has a higher magic bonus.also i really didn't give you advise on armor. get prostal armor a veraces skirt and a dhaorak body works great. I can't think of to much of anything else if you have another specific question feel free to ask. Yeah I can't spell get over it!
Monky
Yes I have 70 summoning so guthans isnt a must. Looks like il have to be doing a bit more merchanting to afford a SS as well, as i dont have good money keeping skills. wab
first, if you want to maximize the strength bonus switch your bandos boots into dragon boots: -1 pray bonus diff but +3 str bonus diff. cape: fire cape -> skillcape (t) -> skillcape/obby chest: dh/guthan/torag bodies are great defence for their cost. but if you'll be rich enougth go for bandos plate, bit less defence but good str bonus. some recommend torso for it's str, but it's very low def, and tiny bonus. so... b pl8 -> dh/guthan/torag bodywhen you'll be fighting monsters with magic based atks:karils body -> blk body legs: same as chest, this time dh/verac/torag while verac is more recommended cause it gives also pray bonus. and the expenssive option for more offenssive and bit less def is tassets.tassets -> verac/dh/torag bodywhen you'll be fighting monsters with magic based atks:karils legs -> blk legs ring: zerker (and ring of wealth when you're going to any task with chance of good rare drops) ammy: fury defeantly as you can affort it weapons:1) whip - your main slayer weapon. train with it atk&def, and also str if you're using the controlled method2) SS - saradomin sword is for training str basicly, but it all depends wat skills exactly you wanna train3) EE/SGS - enchanted excalibular (seers diary hard complete) or saradomin godsword (quite costly...) are 2 of the best ways to use your special atk. they heal you greatly while the task, and togheter with bunyip they're wining combination. P.S. they'll be only spec wep, and not the whole time.4) z spear - for 2 uses: (1) crush style on waterfiends (2) stab if you can make super antifire pots (85 herby), you can use this against all dragons - that's the most effective weapon on these. best stab 2 handed wep.5) leaf bladed sword - stab on dragons if you don't have 85 herby to make super antifire pots. that's the one handed best stab atk wep. all this was VERY generally, I hope that'll help you

Draconic
Dragon Boots are better than Bandos. Cape- I recommend getting a Fire cape; it IS the best cape in the game (overall, there are better capes for prayer, ranging, magic, stab and some other stats). If you don't have one or are unable to complete the mini-game (you definitely can with your stats), you'll have to go with Obsidian. Chest- Barrows. If you don't have that much cash, these things are great. They're pretty cheap, and if you only have that much cash Bandos is only a luxury. Legs- See above. Ring (planning on zerker)- I'd go with wealth, its benefits are understated, and it's only 10k. Beserker is another luxury you can't afford. I'm not stopping you, but Zerker only provides an extra 1-2 max hit. Ammy (fury im guessing)- Yes, Fury is the best in the game. Get a fury before anything else. Weapons (any additional ones i might need against certain monsters aka Water fiends)- Whip is overall the best. Zamorakian Spear is extremely useful, for things like dragons (chromatic dragons' breath can be 100% blocked by anti-fire and magic prayer. It completely rapes metals if you have extreme anti-fire), WF's, aquanites, Corp Beast, and others. Saradomin Sword is another luxury item, and is only good for strength training, and with its price it's not really worth it. It's on par with Zam spear at WF's, and isn't worth it for a bit more speed on things like Gargoyles. Godswords are only useful at bosses; whip has higher damage output. The only GS useful with training is SGS, and that again is an unneeded luxury item.In summary, get Whip and Zam Spear. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back. boatracer22
I just want to point out the the ss is not mandatory if you would rather train strenght with a d skiimmy and defender. Infact a zammy spear is better at waterfiends that a ss Yeah I can't spell get over it!
Draconic
some recommend torso for it's str, but it's very low def, and tiny bonus. so... Your skepticism is correct; torso is one of the most overrated pieces of crap in the game. It takes hours to get, only gives marginally better bonuses, and is just overall crap. It is better to kill green dragons (especially with bone prices) and make money for Bandos Plate (especially seeing as torso is destroyed upon death, unless it by some fluke is one of your 3 items. It's easier to die than you think; I've died a couple times from Bronze Dragons without an Anti-Fire shield when going to Nechs and Dagganoths (or other things, chaos teleporter can be a [bleep])). When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
Monky
Well il sell the bandos boots definetly.. and il also get Dharoks Plate and Legs are armour... Whip and Defender for normal tasks and zammy spear for the others. But about the firecape... My internet sometimes lags out of the blue just with a disconnect here and there and i fear that i would mess up on jad due to that. I have been thinking that i could use a firecape for a while and they are very easy on the eyes but im just really not confident in my luck on it... how long would a cape attempt take (the getting to jad part?) plus wouldnt i need some special armour and stuff for him? Draconic
If you're that worried about lags and disconnecting, then no one's forcing you. It is the best cape, though Obsidian if fine. However, Ardounge cape has a massive prayer bonus, a decent magic defense bonus and a good stab attack bonus; great for all sorts of things, especially WF's, dragons, and pretty much anything that needs prayer. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
