82 Herblore, Help with a Plan+Is it Worth it?

I am currently 68 Herblore. After I use last week's Penguin Points, I will need -5,565 XP till 69. So, the Points will allow me to make Anti-Fire potions, with 5,565 XP to spare.

I will need 1,747,471 XP for 82 (that's quite the number).

Is it best to make Anti-Fires all the way? I will plan on using Grimy Lants, as they are cheaper and give bonus XP, so that can save a good amount. That way, every herb I buy gives 170.6 XP. I'll need 10,244 Grimy Lants, 10,244 Ground Blue Dragons scales and 10,244 WF Vials (though those won't be included in the calculations, as the shop update made them cost dirt) to get 82 Herblore.

That combined will cost 78,469,040 (assuming Lants for 6.6k and Dragon Dust at 1,060). After selling all Anti-Fires for 2.9k, it will cost 48,761,440. However, I assume I will do another round of Penguins at 70 Herblore, saving me the need to make 164 Anti-Fires, lowering this by 780,640 (that's some radical penguins) for a total of 47,980,800. By selling my BGS for 29.2m, I then only need 18,780,800, which is completely affordable (though I will have to sell a bunch of my stockpiled [cabbage]).

So, is this a good plan, and is it worth it? (I think it is, so never mind). I also have a couple hundred herbs (270ish Lants and +200 Dwarf Weeds) from MTK, so it's not that much.

When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.

if you need to sell lots of your stuff just for 1 benefit - don't.

I'm working myself on long stage project to collect all herbs I need from farming&slayer, doing fine so far, got enought toadflaxes from 81->82 and with pengs will reach ~75 herby, the rest I'll buy.

so...super antifire (wich is at 85, you can use the herby beer from 84, or form 83 if you use the mature version, but not possible in 82 as you said, sorry to burst your bubble), so anyways, that pot can make wonders with slayer every kind of dragon, but then again, it's not worth selling all your bank for it. it'll come by itself one day, just start collecting herbs&money, just as me. good luck

I don't actually have to sell that much of my bank. I mean, I have stockpiled TONS of stuff from slayer+other random stuff. I have +100 Diamonds from Slayer and TD's that I'll never use; not to mention 40 Dragonstones (though, they're my preeecious, I'll never let go of those). I also have a lot of seeds and stuff that I can plant. I will only be selling raw resources, so it's not like I'll be letting go of my Fury, Whip, etc.

I will be selling my BGS anyway, I've found I no longer have a use for it. It's only good for some Bosshunting and PvP (the latte rof which I don't do). I use D Hally for solo TD's and Range for Duo+. I have Enhanced Excalibur, Unicorn, and Guthan's for tanking at Graar (and I'm getting Extreme Anti-Fires for getting Dragon bones for 80 Prayer (I like DIYing some things), and this will give me the Curse that lower's Graar's defence and raises mine, even better for tanking). Corp Beast is bad against Zam Spears, but not BGS. I have 99 range for Zil, Kree is immune, KQ isn't worth it, Chaos Elemental is very profitable (first solo kill: 200 Rune Arrows) but again, I have 99 range. The Mole is fun as hell to Dharock (not like I kill it ever), and that about covers it.

I need 18,780,800. Those Diamonds will cover 1.6m... and I'm not sure what else is in my bank. I have a bunch of ores and bars from variosu stuff I never use, etc.

When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.

if you say so, I'm the last guy to stop you. but form my personal experience with stews, it's not really pleasure to work with them - I'm trying to avoid them except if it's really emergency, but it's up to you.

P.S. it's like you're copying me, I've planned the DIY d bones aswell after super antifire

Stews are actually pretty good, you get 4+ about once every 11 stews so +3 should be even easier. Sounds like a good plan, 85 herblore is very much worth it, though you should consider getting 85 just to be able to make extreme att/str pots if you're going to train herblore anyway (you'll be able to rape the steels even better that way :P).

Antifires are pretty expensive at the moment though, you might want to look in some other potions to see if they're significantly cheaper. If not, yeah just do antifires. Runewiki price calc isn't really good for that, you basically have to make 1 of each potion to see at what price the ingredients buy (if they even buy).

as I've heard, super antifire makes you up to x2 quicker on dragons, while extreme pots increase "abit" above supers - not worth the few more mills of herby xp IMO.

where did you get that 2x figure from, and on which monster does it apply. I've used a zammy spear last kbd trip and I wasn't impressed at all. In fact, me and a friend got crashed by a lvl 99 ranger and his lvl 113 meleeer friend.
