tigershelby2
As the title says, i am looking to buy a SS so i can train my str. First, is the SS even worth it? Second, should i just do barrows to make the extra 5m, or just find another way to make the 5m? ilovecardj
Actually SS is better exp per hour and has a crush option, where as d scim is horrible for many monsters because of only slash and a very weak stab. 2 pray bonus of ss is small but helpful when pray training which is the most effective kind. if your doing slayer gargs and waterfiends are quite weak to ss and u cant even bother with scim on those. not worth it. also im pretty sure kalphites are weak to crush but i know for a fact d scim is horrible on them.i Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
tigershelby2
Well my reason for asking is i was looking to train str at dusties, but would it be better to buy guthans and head down to bandits for a bit? sparky1_2007
Well my reason for asking is i was looking to train str at dusties, but would it be better to buy guthans and head down to bandits for a bit? I trained str with my dragon scimitar, i had a SS for a while, but i like being cheap and i made the d-scim work, it didnt take too long to get 99 str with it from just slaying. retired 12-31-

Troacctid
Anything worth doing is worth doing well, right? If you're going to train strength with a focused weapon, don't settle for less than the best. If it were me, I'd just train on controlled with a whip until I had enough money to buy the SS. My advice is to get the SS, train your strength to whatever level, and then sell it back again. You'll probably break even anyway.
