I am going to get a new xbox for christmas ( :thumbsup: ) I have a bunch of DLC, mainly for Oblivion, that I am going to want to transfer to my new hard drive without re-buying it. I'm not really sure how to do it, can anyone point me the right way? I'll probably need to buy a memory card, which kind of defeats the purpose of not paying to transfer the DLC...

You can just recover your gamertag and it will remember you've previously purchased it and you can just download it again for free. :thumbsup: ;)

My brother had one when he upgrade. If I recall correctly basically it hijacks into the socket between the harddrive the the xbox and then has a socket for the 2nd harddrive to connect to so that the xbox can pick up both and thus transfer between them

Sorry for the late reply, the internet was down :sad: I was going to make a new gamertag and start from scratch, because my current one has an age limitation. So if I get the xbox, and before I recover my old gamertag, I make a new one, with an age like 25 or something, can I then recover my old one, get the DLC, and not have an age restriction on the xbox? Because I cant download a lot of stuff, like facebook or whatever else

If you make a new gamertag you DLC will not work.

Download content is related to a specific gamertag.

Also to the other guy yes he could do what you said, but that still requires re-downloading everything. An xbox harddrive transfer kit is only a few $/£ and will save the need to re-download stuff.

Thanks for all the help guys! The link that Mc gave me seems to be the thing to do, but it looks like I will still have to use my old account. Can I transfer the licenses, and still be able to play the DLC on the new gamertag I make, with no age limitations? I really don't want to wait them out, because it would take two years :mellow: they'll probly have a new console by then anyways.
