December 28, 200916 yr Hi, I just read the article about sacred clay items at runescape wikia and I don't completely understand why people would choose proto tools if they can get for the same price and a better xp rate volatile tools? It doesn't make much sense to choose prototools? Or am I missing something important?
December 28, 200916 yr Because (I think) volatile tools randomly change into different tools and each transformation takes away charge. The prototools actually give better exp per hour because of it's consistency, and you need fewer of them. My signature got deleted :( And I lost all the links. Thanks Gandorf61.
December 28, 200916 yr With the volatile tool, what you get is completely random. You have no control over what it'll change into and changing it uses up charge, so it's not as useful.
December 28, 200916 yr Yea and it changes shape like after every 10% charge used or something around that so it gets really annoying to use. I guess its good if you want to hop from 1 skill to another every 30 seconds but other than that, prototools are a lot more usefull
