I'm about to buy new armor, but im wondering about which one of these, thats best for melee fighting:*Veracs*Dharok*Guthantorags Also wondering about .. if im having full veracs, would whip or veracs flail then work better for me, than whip? if not, what shield should i then use? (realistic price, like the other armor) Hope some of you 'will be able to help me.
Illicit_Fun
Could you give us more information? For example:- What type of fighting are you going to do? Are you going to train Slayer, kill bosses, play SW or PC, or kill maximum efficiency monsters like experiments or rock crabs?- How much money you have right now, and what can you really afford? As of now, I'd personally suggest Guthans, because it's healing effect is useful in many cases. If you plan on slaying, get Guthans. If you plan on killing boss monsters, in most cases you'd probably want either Guthans or Veracs. Dharoks isn't a very important set - it's more for PKing, but it's loads of fun for hitting high. Torags is just defensive, and as a set is entirely useless.
Kersei
There are very few situations where you want to use Guthan's for healing. Generally, better options are enhanced excalibur, bunyip, unicorn, bone to peaches, banking for food.

Banking for food disrupts the flow and is more of an inconvenience really. I loved my guthan's set when I started slaying (pre summoning/SGS days). it was a slayer's best friend because it allowed me to finish an entire task without having to bank for food. Dire_Wolf
BEST ARMOUR YOU CAN USE (I am level 138, and i use them):MAGICAL MONSTERS:Karil body and leatherskirt or Black d hide body and chaps (Karil cost ALOT more, so that's only if you can afford it) MELEE MONSTERS:Body:Guthan's platebody, Dharok's platebody or Torag's platebody (All of them have same defence, Guthan body being cheapest!) Leg:Verac's skirt, Torag's platelegs or Dharok's platelegs (Verac's is best choice because it provides also prayer bonus, but remember that it does not have the high ranged def as Torag/Dharok) RANGED MONSTERS:Body:Dharok's, Guthan's or Torag's platebody (They all have same defence, but Guthan is cheapest price of them all) Leg:Dharok's or Torag's platelegs (NOT Verac or Guthan's platelegs, they have less ranged defence!)PRAYER BONUS ARMOR:Proselyte is the best for prayerMonk robes are third best Verac is second best, and also provides defence (melee) if you need it.SHIELD:Rune defender:If you are fighting monsters that hit little damage on you. Dragonfire shield>Obsidian shield>Blessed spirit shield>Dragon SQ> Rune kite:If you need defence, however Obsidian provides mostly ranged defence so if your facing a melee monster other shields are better. xSxqPowerx
Good choice - although I should point out that when you don't need the extra defense, rune defender is better than dragonfire shield.
