A biggy is that slayer helm allows you to kill them far quicker then without it.

I'm talking about the usage of the poli dungeon. Without slayer helm you can't fight them there, which means no cannon, no combat familiars, less spawns and slightly longer banking.

Fury or stole is better then the small 5% bonus as you can just use offensive prayers or gain the stats from fury.

You can still kill them there as long as you use prayer =).

You will still need your slayer helm.

 

When on task, I believe it's better to use a fury/glory instead of a salve (e), because the necklace only gives an additional 5% over the helmet.

 

Negative, a nosepeg will suffice.

you're right about that fact, and I must admit that i wasn't very precise in my comment. I had in mind that it would be irrelevant to even conside a nosepeg instead of a slayer helm, since anyone who has a slayer helm will use it instead of the nosepeg, since it has the same functions and more. The only question is if you should use a fury or a salve (e), which is won by the fury.
