November 4, 200520 yr BOOK OF CREATION OVERTURE Father Time and Mother Nature brought all of existence into being, including the world of Gielinor. They also created the higher plane of reality known as Frenaskrae, where they would make their home, and peopled it with three tribes of immortals. The first tribe created were the Vanu, the second tribe created were the Aesir, and the third tribe were the Mahjarrat. As the oldest entities in the universe, after Father Time and Mother Nature, the Vanu possessed the greatest wisdom and power of the three tribes. Guthix and the Elder-Dragons were from among the Vanu. Eventually this first tribe disbanded and most Vanu went on their separate ways to explore the universe beyond Frenaskrae. Guthix left Frenaskrae and found the world of Gielinor (Runescape). The world was already inhabited by the Elder-Dragons, who alone among the Vanu had never dwelt within Frenaskrae, for they had been created already sleeping amidst the world as it was first formed. Guthix undertook to change this new world to his liking. He reshaped Gielinor from an empty sphere into a realm of great beauty and harmony to rival even the paradise of Frenaskrae. Then, exhausted by his miraculous efforts, he slept for over a thousand years. PRIMARY MOVEMENT After the Vanu came the Aesir tribe. They were a wildly divergent bunch in both power and alignment that included what we now know as the Dwarven, Elvish, Ogre and Goblin pantheons of Gods, among many others. They were more organized than most of the Vanu were, but over time their diverse and warlike natures led them into internal conflicts that caused them to leave Frenaskrae in order to conquer lands of their own which they could rule without direct interference from Father Time and Mother Nature. Saradomin was a member of this tribe of Gods. While Guthix slept many events occurred on Gielinor that would require epics all their own to properly describe. A masterful race of beings known as the Dragon Kin arose that may have stolen power from the Elder-Dragons or enslaved them somehow. The Dragon Kin came into conflict with Robert and his dred panther. During this time Saradomin and other Gods of the Aesir tribe, that included Seren and the Goblin God of War, first descended onto Gielinor. Also, many magical races of Gielinor such as Dragons and Giants are thought to have originated during this period, although the hows and whys of their creations have sadly been lost to history. SECONDARY MOVEMENT The third and last tribe of beings created by Father Time and Mother Nature to live in Frenaskrae were the Mahjarrat. When they were created the Mahjarrat were much less powerful than the other two tribes of immortals that had come before them, but they were also more numerous. All of their kind possessed quick and inquisitive minds. Zamorak was counted among the strongest of this tribe of immortals. After several blissful centuries abiding in Frenaskrae some of the Mahjarrat became curious about the other planes of existence, and they decided to follow in the footsteps of their elder brethren by voyaging out into the rest of the cosmos. The Mahjarrat were still young and inexperienced compared to the other immortal tribes and their naivety soon landed them into trouble. Once outside Frenaskrae and the protection of Mother Nature and Father Time they quickly became enslaved by Icthlarin and his female servant Amascut: Lesser Deities of the Aesir tribe. Icthlarin next led the Mahjarrat to the world of Gielinor where he crafted the enslaved Mahjarrat into a death dealing warlike nomadic tribe that caused much havoc to the Ogres, Giants and other ancient races of Gielinor. This marked the end of the First Age. TERTIARY MOVEMENT Unfortunately for Icthlarin, Zaros and his brother Armadyl had already come to reside on Gielinor not long after Guthix had fallen into his great slumber. Zaros was a more powerful God than Icthlarin and he was jealous of Icthlarin's control over the Mahjarrat. Sometime after the dawn of the Second Age he out fought Icthlarin and became leader of the Mahjarrat and used them to found a mighty kingdom that lay mostly in the east of Gielinor. The defeated Gods Icthlarin and Amascut later found a following among the Menaphites. Seren then led the Elves to Gielinor, perhaps to help counter the growing influence of the evil Zaros. Many humanoid races including Humans and Dwarves were also created or brought to Gielinor during this period due to the influence of various Gods. Armadyl lost his Godstaff and retreated into hiding. Events among the Gods came to a head. Saradomin joined forces with Zamorak, a mighty priest of Zaros, and with the help of several others they overthrew Zaros, who was said to be either destroyed or banished. Zamorak was himself subsequently banished from Gielinor, possibly by means of a betrayal by Saradomin. Azzandara was imprisoned. Many of the Mahjarrat of Gielinor disbanded. A truce was forged between the Elves, Humans, and Dwarves. The fabled kingdom of Zanaris was founded. The Golden Age of Human civilization dawned. FINAL MOVEMENT Zamorak spent countless years spent wandering the void between worlds before he returned to Gielinor along with hosts of Demons under his command. Now armed with the powers of a Greater Deity, Zamorak sought his revenge. The God Wars began as the Second Age ended. Uzer was destroyed by Thamarron. Much of the known world was marred or thrown into chaos. The Great Alliance between Elves, Humans and Dwarves was shattered. The Elves drew back into isolated settlements. Most Dwarves retreated into their underground strongholds and cut off all contact with the outside. Alone among Dwarven kind, the proud Imcando clan remained above ground. However, gradually even they became scattered and weakened by conflicts with their many enemies, never to recover their former glory. All Human cities on the surface were sacked, leveled or abandoned. Guthix finally awakened and caused the God Wars to end. The first Rune Essence was created by Guthix's tears. The three Greater Deities were no longer allowed to walk on Gielinor. Zamorak went back to dwell in the void between worlds while Guthix and Saradomin returned to Frenaskrae. The Third Age wound to a close.
November 4, 200520 yr Great story, should have been ages or chapters or something but it was good anyhow. Still there is no proof that Zaros is evil, But he was definately powerfull as hell. There for there should be some sort of other history that says that he entered the Mahjarrat in order to change it but ended up enslaved or brainwashed or something like that. Great ideas and runescapian backup though http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
November 5, 200520 yr Author Thanks. I thought about using ages but felt that it would be too confusing to include ages as chapters when talking about ages in the history and also hard to make them match up exactly. Plus I wanted to try and give it an old timey feel by harkening back to a period when songs and stories were more closely related than they are in the present, thus the musical chapter names. As for Zaros, this was meant to be a history written from the perspective of the victors, so naturally the other side would have their own version of events. Maybe you would even care to write it?
November 5, 200520 yr That good idea I have already written many diffrent things but they are all long winded and really not that interesting http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
November 6, 200520 yr Author Aw don't be so hard on yourself. The main thing is to have fun writing and reading them and to heck with anybody who doesn't like them. You do make a good point about Zaros. History is just a lie agreed upon, after all. It could be that the other Gods are spreading false propaganda about him.
November 6, 200520 yr Yeah well, Its different on a game, Someone can make it up and it will be true. But thanks anyway http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
November 11, 200520 yr First of all good story. (I only skimmed through it because I don't like creation stories in general, it has nothing to do with your writing) secondly, just because I always have to comment on archmage (don't ask me why, I haven't figured it out): That good idea I have already written many diffrent things but they are all long winded and really not that interesting Its not that your stories aren't intresting, its the arguments about zaros evilness that follow. I don't think anyone can claim that Zaros is entirely good but I get tired of hearing people putting him as the ultimate evil diety past zaramok just to annoy you. Pm me if you need anything proof-read, I may not be very good, but I am always willing to help.A Seal Clubber is me!A Oxygenarin is me!6*9=42
November 11, 200520 yr Excellent read! Soon I will be making a story based on the god wars following the Destruction of Uzer to the fall of the Wizard's tower. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
