I recently got a Nokia E63 on the $19 Cap (3 Mobile). I connected the phone to my router. I was just wondering if the phone company will still charge me for using the internet? Although I highly doubt it, I just want to make sure.

If your phone is set to use wifi and its connected via wifi, then it should be free. I've got an unlocked iphone on Orange Pay as You go and I've never been charged for internet usage as there is 9/10 somones wifi you can borrow.

So... As I understand it, it's free then? I really do not want to get this stuffed because here the make you pay bucketloads of money for mobile internet usage.

If you phone can connect and use the Wifi it should auto switch over to only using said Wifi.

However if your on Wifi start downloading something then walk out of the range I'd guess its chargeable.

Thank you! I only plan using the internet on my phone at home so walking out of range isn't really a problem for me. Judging by this post, you're telling me that it isn't chargeable unless I suddenly disconnect while downloading something?

Pretty much, the only time you should get charged is when your not on wifi.

If you absolutely do not want to use mobile internet (other than Wifi), then maybe you can alter/delete the mobile access settings on the phone, and just leave the WiFi
