Bandos Solo

Hello. Was wondering if I would be able to kill the Bandos Boss (Range or Melee) . Stats are in my signature.

Also if you could recomend me what armor, inventory, etc it would be helpful. Thanks.

You can definitely kill him, though you might only get 2 to 3 kills a trip, with melee. I'm not sure how well range works at Bandos.

Your stats are good. You can either melee, which is what majority use, or use ranged. But you seem to like or love ranged, so i give advice and help based on that. Ranged is not used because it seems less effective, maybe it is or maybe it is not. My opinion is that a ranger can do just as good or maybe even better than a meleer. So don't let the fact that many use melee affect your combat style.

Runite's crossbow with 250 Broad bolts - for Kill count

Archers ring (I)>Dragonstone ring (I)>Archers ring>Ring of wealth/life

 

Karil's body is a advantage to use, but it's very expensive. So unless your very wealthy, stick with Dragonhide, it's a great replacement (Cheap and good).

 

Dragon hidebody - You can use a God d hide, a Zamorak for Kill count protection. But that's up to you.

 

( I ) = is enchanced rings, Archers ring (I) has double stats of normal Archer ring. Dragonstone ring (I) is one of few rings that have gotten stats. Dragon stone (I) gives +5 attack and defence bonus in all stats. Rings can be given stats as reward through Mobilising Armies minigame.

 

 

 

INVENTORY

250 Ruby bolts (e) (Use them until boss is half HP)

300 Diamond bolts (e) (Once boss has reached half HP)

Saradomin's brew (4)

Super restore (4)

Ranging potion (4)

Prayer potion or Super restore x3 (Super restore gives 2-4 more prayer points and restores also stats)

Hammer (For Stronghold entrance)

Teleport tablet

Enchanced excalibur or Zanik's crossbow (with 50 Adamant bolts) for special attack

Rest : Rocktails (heal 23 HP)

 

OTHER:

Rocktails inside Wartortoise also

 

TACTIC

Protect melee and run around boss room shooting at boss. You should be able to get 2-3 shots before boss reaches you.

 

Boss will hit 0s with melee, so when he reaches you, you can still run away and repeat shooting at him. You run away because his ranged attack is something he also uses only when your close him.

 

Boss can hit max 35 with his ranged attack, so be prepared for that. He ONLY USES his ranged attack when your IN HIS MELEE FIELD.

So you can get in there and kill him with out a doubt. I would watch a few guides. T o make sure every thing is set before you go in there.

 

But for first few times. Wear cheap gear. Maybe verac skirt neizy helm un holy symbol combat braclet or barrows gloves. Black d hide climbing boots. O and ring of life. And BGS.

 

Have sara brew (1) super restore (1) Pray pots(2 or 1) super attack super str. ! click tellie, hammer and BOB full of sharks and rest invo full of sharks.

 

This is what I did tell I got hang of it. Then as you get more comfy get better gear.

Don't listen to this guy, I suggest you try both and see which you like better. I have a higher range then my melee stats and I get more kills with range, the shield you can wield helps too. I get 2-3 kills depending on luck with 96 range 84 defense with a tortoise on normal prayers depending how lucky I am. 2 Sara Brews, 1 Rest, 2 or 3 pray pots, Range pot, hammer, teletabs and rest sharks on me plus tortoise.

 

I used Verac helm, karil top, verac skirt, obby shield, snakeskin boots, fury, barrow gloves. If you have a DFS or a blessed spirit shield + I would use that instead of course. Do NOT use curses unless you have 80 prayer.

 

Edit: SirHemen says to run around running away from Graa'dor but I just tank him and I cannot say how successful that would be.

A little biased towards melee? True fact, going range means you get to wield a shield unless you consider using a whip with a shield instead of a defender. Wielding a shield is better defense. Yeah my defense is only 84 so I don't get 3 kills often, which is why I said it depends. If you read my reply throughly you would have caught on.

 

I get 2-3 kills with Obsidian shield at 84 defense, so obviously if he has 95 def and a DFS he will be getting more kills then I.
