My brother thinks that there might be a virus on our internet network.

 

He is trying to scan it right now.

 

I have Kaspersky 2010 running on my computer, updated.

 

Would any malware from the network get onto my PC?

I might be wrong, but you can't get viruses on your internet network... If there is a virus it will be on his computer. What makes him believe that there is one?

If you are concerned that it will pass through wifi to yours, this would only be possible if you share files with one another and the virus hides itself in the file.
