Runescape guide to making money

I have spent close to 12 hours making this guide, I truly hope is helps a lot of you and if you like it, please tell your friends about it. Happy reading.

1.Killing green dragons

-

Requirements: for melee fighter, 65+ defense, anti-fire shield, rune armor+, rune scimitar+. For Range, 60+ range, best range dragon armor, decent bolts/arrows(I use mith bolts with 76 range). For food, I recommend 5 to 15 lobsters, depending on your armor and defense.

Suggests: ancient magic with 54 mage. Runes for the paddewwa teleport.

-

Now, the best place I like to kill them at is the chaos tunnels. Sure, there is another popular place east of castle wars, but there is simply to many revenants there and to many people.

The best entrance to go to is the north east one, beside the big square teleport thing.

1.png

Go down, then go north and go through the portal, which should take you to the green dragons and the baby black dragons.

The reason why most people dont like to kill green dragons here is because there are only 3 and way to many bbd(baby black dragons).

Now, for a safe spot, if you need one, is indicated in the picture below. Its also where you go when you want to range the dragons. Once you kill the green dragon, pick up the bones and hide(which both together equal roughly 5k) and run to the safe spot until the dragon responds.

2.png

Now, if you are a higher level and with a good defense(75+) then you could switch between the two dragons, killing them as quick as you could for quicker money, though then you would probably need more lobsters, most likely 15 of them, though only if your ranging them, otherwise about 7.

3.png

Once your inventory is full of hides and bones, teleport out using the paddewwa teleport(if you have ancient magic and 54 mage) to edgeville dungeon or otherwise, you can run back through portal, up the rope, and south back to edgeville bank for drop off and restock of food. Per inventory, if you have killed 12 dragons, you should have around 60k, and shouldnt of taken more than twenty minutes.

2. Farming ranarrs

-

Requirements: at least 32 farming, plenty of ranarr seeds, compost(I REALLY recommend super compost, for more profit) a spade, a seed dibler, a rake(just in case) teleport runes,(or tabs).

Recommends: Complete priest in peril for an extra herb patch, ancient magic and mage level 66 for kharyrll teleport spell. Plague city quest for teleport to ardougne. Ring of dueling for teleport to castle wars for bank afterwards.

-

Now, first thing your going want to do is make sure you have all the stuff in your inventory.

4.png

This is what mine looks like. First you teleport to(doesnt really matter which one you do first) canifis with the kharyrll teleport spell to get rid of the runes.

5.png

Now, you see the red dot, that where the spell should take you. Now, follow the path to the first patch.

6.png

If you dont know how to farm a herb, well, then you obviously dont have the 32 farm level to do this. Anyways, next teleport ardougne with tab(if your on ancient magic book, u got to use tabs). Here is the path to the next farming patch.

7.png

Next place, teleport to Camelot and follow the path to the next patch.

8.png

If you have to many ranarrs by now, you can turn them into noted by click use on one of the ranarrs and using it onto the leprechaun.

9.png

Last patch, the one south east of falador

10.png

One your done planting your first ones, (or the ones after that) you should have(assuming your using all four patches) 15-35 grimy ranarrs, depending on if any die or you just didnt get a good haul.

I usually check my plants every two hours, so, you just made anywhere from 10k to 150k in 5 minutes, congratulations. I usually buy like 40 seeds, then plant them all every two hour in the next few days, then sell all herbs at one time.

3. Picking up swamp tar

-

Requirements: None!!!

-

Easiest way to make money, I kid you not, and best of all, no requirements. You can be a level 3 noob(members of course) and make easy money. All you have to do, is pick up swamp tar! It stacks, which just adds onto the easiness of it.

Now, the place your gonna want to go is the swamps of lumbridge, which is south of lumbridge.

11-1.png

As you can see here, the swamp tar is every where.

12.png

Like I said before, its stackable, so you can pick them up and keep going until you tire of it. As of right now, swamp tar is 250 each.

13.png

So, if you collect 100 of them, you just made 25k.

14.png

I timed myself picking them up and it took about 7 minutes to pick up a hundred of them, assuming you do you it non-stop. So, 25k in 7 minutes, thats about 214k an hour.

4. Killing chaos druids

-

Requirements: Defense 10+, a weapon of any kind, food is optional

-

Killing chaos druids is good money for a lower level, of course I see higher levels also. All you do is kill them, and pick up the dropped herbs they drop. Here is the entrance to edgeville dungeon, where they are located.

15.png

Here is the path from ladder to the druids.

16.png

Here is the chaos druid

17.png

As you can see, they only have 20 hp, these are especially good for training range if you have a lower level (like 1-50).

One of the best thing to get from them is grimy ranarrs, best item to expect from them.

18.png

You get them kind of common to, like 5-12 per inventory full(I only pick up herbs 1k+)

Here is my inventory after about 30 minutes.

19.png

So, pretty good haul for lower levels I have to say.

5. Picking flax

-

Requirements: none

-

I know many people know about this but not everyone does, so Im just throwing this out here.

Best place to pick flax is in Camelot.

20.png

Flax is price right now is 81gp.

21.png

A full inventory of flax is 2,268

22.png

Took me 30 seconds to pick a full inventory, another 30 seconds to run to the bank and back.

23.png

So, one minute for 2,268gp, thats 136k an hour. Decent for lower levels, but swamp tar is better I have to say.

6. Killing ogres

-

Requirements: for melee: rune armor+, rune scimi+, 60+ defense, a little bit of food, ring of dueling.(I suggest buying like 10). For range: 40+ for a quick decent profit.

-

Killing ogres, boy did I do that a lot in my 80s. What you do is teleport with ring of dueling to castle wars, the head east.

24.png

Once you get there, start hacking away. See that girl in red d hide? She is in the range spot.

25.png

Big bones is what you want, worth 426 each.

26.png

For a whole inventory full(27 and duel ring) you make 17,502

27.png

It took about 10 minutes to kill 27 of them and teleport back to castle wars and run back. Thats 69k an hour, though you get really good xp killing them also. And you also get an occasional ranarr and snapdragon seed. Around 35k and 70k respectively.

7. Tanning cowhides

-

Requirements: Only a decent amount of start off cash

-

First thing your gonna want to do is buy as many cowhides as you can.(I dont feel like tanning 10k of them)

28.png

Next go to al kharid bank and fill up your inventory with them but also bring money with you.

29.png

Next, run from bank to tanning place.

30.png

Click trade with Ellis.

31.png

Click tan all for hard leather.

32.png

Now all the cowhides are tanned

33.png

Bank them and tan all the rest.

Took 2 minutes to tan 100 of them, the price of the tan hard leather are 210 each.

34.png

Bought the 100 for 16,300. Add 300qp for the tanning, thats 16,600. Now they are 21k. thats 3.4k per 2 minutes. Thats 102k per hour.

8. Killing blue dragons

-

Requirements: Completed heroes quest. 65+ range recommended, tab to somewhere close to bank, games necklace.

-

Here is what Im wearing and using.

35.png

Forgot legs >.<, dont really matter though. Now, teleport to barthrope games room with games necklace.

36.png

Go up and outside and go south to the heroes guild.

37.png

Go down the ladder.

38.png

Go east a bit till you see a cage with the blue dragon.

39.png

This isnt multi, so first hit gets the dragon. If there is someone or to many people there, keep hopping worlds.

Here is the best place to range it.

40.png

The blue hide isnt much more expensive than the green, so I advise this for people only with 75+ range. Because these are much harder to kill, though the plus is no food wasted on these. Once you have full inventory, use tab to bank the hide and bones and then use games necklace again.

9.Red Chinchompa hunting

-

Requirements: 63 hunting, 4 box traps

Suggests: larupia hat, top and legs for stealth.

-

First thing your gonna want to do is get a ring of dueling, the larupia costume(for stealth) and as many box traps as you can uses.(depends on your hunting level).

41.png

Next, go really far south from castle wars, so follow the magical red road.

42.png

Next, start laying down the traps to catch some red chinchompas.

43.png

Best spot is east off the little lake.

44.png

Red chinchompas are very popular for range trainers who have money, their price right now is 856gp.

45.png

100 of them is 85.6k

46.png

Took me 30 minutes to catch 100 of them, so in an hour, you could make around 171.2k. Plus, catching these give very good hunting xp, so you could make money and get a level 99 skill in one of the hardest skills(so most people think).

10. Killing avainsies

-

Requirements: Access to the god wars dungeon(forgot what quests you need to do), Rope(if its your first time) food. Crossbow with decent bolts(I use mith at 75 range) climbing boots.

Suggests: Lots of bones to peaches tabs(so you can stay down there for a long time) a teleport tab(for a quick get away). If you wear god wars armor, like for example bandos boots, the monsters on bandos side wont attack you.

Also bring some alchemy runes, because you will get many rune daggers+

-

Here is what Im wearing to gwd: Armadyle helmet, bandos boots, dragon sq shield, rune crossbow, mithril bolts, zamorak cloak, black d hide legs and plate body and ring of wealth.

47.png

Here is the items Im bringing.

48.png

First thing you do is uses games necklace to teleport to barthrope games room. Next go up stairs and follow the path.

49.png

Dont forget climbing boots, very important.

50.png

Now, in the big circle part, throwers are there, so prepare to turn on your prayer for range. Now you see the smaller circled part? Well that is where you require 60 strength to move the boulder. After that, talk to the skeleton and get the knights notes.(only if you havent gone into the gwd yet) now go down the ladder and congratulations, you in the fabled god war dungeons!

One your down there, go directly east. This is the avainsies area.

51.png

Now, start killing them(you can only range them since there flying).

52.png

Adamant bars 4 noted is the things were looking for. They drop them very commonly, though not every kill.

53.png

As you can see, I only killed two and got a drop of four of them.

54.png

For one drop, thats 10,716gp. Pretty good for 30 seconds of work.

55.png

In about 10 minutes, I killed 21 avainsies and got 10 drops of 4 noted adamant bars.

56.png

So in 10 minutes, I made a total of 116,649gp.

57.png

Killing avainsies is pretty much the best way to make money(that i know of right now) so thats over 600k an hour, can you say ballin!

Well, I 've read/scanned through your guide most of it. I do have to put a lot of comments in tough.

First off:

[hide=title about this part here] "the text you want to hide" [/hide]

[hide="title about this part here"] "the text you want to hide" [/hide]

Use this to 'hide' each section. You've found several ways, make a part for each. That clears of the huge sum of pictures and text.

Second:

If you have a picture in paint, decrease the white part to the seize of the picture. Once done, upload the picture again so you have solely the picture and not the white part. Makes it a lot easier to look at.

Thirth:

For many sections, you have inferior methods to those present. By this I don't mean money/hour but ways to walk / travel etc. About what gear to take etc.

Fourth:

I have yet to see any new information. There is nothing unique about this guide and can be summed up to:

Green Dragons @ Chaos tunnels

Aviansies

Picking flax @ Seers

Blue dragon @ Heroe's Guild

Tanning cowhides

Farming herbs

Killing chaos druids.

On almost each subject there is already more information available or is considered common sense. I do admire your effort tough, I really do. It is good to have such a guide and I see a lot of potential as a 'common moneymakers' guide. If you want to make this succeed, I do advice you to take the advice from people that are going to post about your methods. There is a lot to be improved, but the basic is there. It does require another investment of time, but that is the only way towards a nice guide.

On a last note:

''Runescape Moneymaking Guide - For Any Level'' (this isn't a guide on money, but how to get it. Also it is spelled guide) (I don't know that much about spelling so bear with me, my spelling isn't perfect either)

I agree with everything 12pure34 said.

The Main things I think you should do to make this guide better is:

1. Crop Pictures

2. Make Use of the 'Hide' BBCode as 12pure34 explained.

3. Make your guide more unique but involving some less well known money making things.

4. When Writing Requierments, List them instead of all on one line, It's easier to read when listed.

5. Fix Spelling Mistakes. ;D

:)

Edit: Btw. Theres a picture of chins in with the avianses.

Edit 2: Btw, Theres a picture of blue dragons in with the chins.

Nice guide you got there! (Too bad it's only for P2P. :( )

You might want to readjust the pictures a bit. Crop the pictures correctly, and get the order correct.
