February 1, 201016 yr So I always keep my prayer on ancient curses simply because turmoil is beastly on most tasksbut i only get +15% attack and +23% strength against waterfiendsvs +20% attack and +23% strength from piety turmoil drains SLIGHTLY slower and deflect ranged MIGHT deal some extra damage but 5% attack is probably more significant than thatthe thing is i only slay waterfiends during tasks, is it worth it having to go back to the ancient altar to switch between curses and prayers just for a single task?
February 1, 201016 yr Well, I'm not too certain on how long it takes to switch prayers, but I wouldn't really take the time to. It isn't really worth it. Are you waiting for the stats to be drained from the fiends and get added to your own? From what I can gather from how turmoil works, it starts out at a base and eventually adds on stats drained from what you're fighting. In the end, turmoil should give you a greater stat boost in addition to making your opponent a little easier to kill. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement.Also check out my blug
February 1, 201016 yr Waterfiends have low attack and strength, so turmoil doesn't give as much boost as piety. If you kill them in single combat, use piety. If you kill them in the chaos tunnels use turmoil, so you can soulsplit. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
February 1, 201016 yr Piety is better for waterfiends, if it's just for a slayer task i'd stick with turmoil because there's not a lot of difference and you will most likely have to go back and change to curses again after task anyway.
