archimage_a
Hey, Not sure if I can ask for stuff, but on the off chance that I can, and am not contravening some unwritten coder rule...in which case I apologise profusely....But, is is possible for someone to make me a calandar display(image) which advances by 5.5029 days per hour or 0.092 days per minute... or 0.00153 days per secondOr 0.368 Hours per second or 2.208 minutes per second or 132.5 seconds per second.Which now that I think about it is a fairly obvious calculation to make, since we are playing a game (over in Falador Tavern) running at half a year per day...So in 1 year of real time 123.5 years would pass in game. But I digress, is is possible for someone to create an image for me that can be posted on this forum, or posted on freewebs so that it can be linked? At midnight(GMT) just over 6 hours from posting, on the 3rd of Febuary, it will become the second half of 2014.Thus 4th of Feb = 1/6/20145th of Feb = 1/1/20146th of Feb = 1/6/2014 (In the British fashion of day, month, year. If possible an hourly clock, but that is not pressing.) Thanks in advance. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. obfuscator
Its not against any rule at all, I'm sure someone would be happy to help you. It sounds like you want something similar to a countdown timer like the one pure_mageUK created (obviously it would need to be extended). Since it is web based, php is your best bet and I don't know anything near enough to possibly make that. Hopefully you find someone to do it though. JoeDaStudd
Have you got a base time or do you want to be able to change it? archimage_a
Well perferably at 00:00 on Feburary the 13th(GMT) it should read "January 1st 2019"00:00 Febuary the 14th(GMT) should read "July 1st 2019"00:00 Febuary the 15th(GMT) should read "January 1st 2020" http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. JoeDaStudd
Its a quick mock up and should work, only trouble is once it hits 2028 it resets due to the 2028 issue.ATM it updates every 30 minutes I can increase this, but either way the time values on it would literally fly. Or maybe that was a typo. Yeah, in 2038, all systems that use 32-bit UNIX time (Linux, Mac OS X, etc.) will reset, or to be precise, think it's 1901. A lot like Y2K. JoeDaStudd
Opps yea its 2038.Means in about 40 days it won't work as its a quick bit of math based on mktime() which uses unix time.Once it hits about day 41 it will reset to 1970.(The new date ends up greater then the 32bit integer value. EDIT every 30 minutes the script reruns creating the .png so from your point of view the image just updates to the new time every 30 minutes.Every 30 minutes is 239400 seconds vs 1800 seconds of real time. If you need it sooner I can adjust the timer accordantly. Like I said I pretty much mocked the code up in about 5 minutes and uploaded to my testing site.
