Multi attack areas have the crossed swords symbol on screen.

Nothing marks multi-combat areas ingame as far as I know. If your that hung up about going into the wild best have a look at this:

tip.it wildy map

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Multicombat_area

A multicombat area[1], also known as a Multiway Combat area[2] is an area of the RuneScape world where a player or monster can be attacked by more than one player or monster at a time.

Multicombat areas are identified upon entering by two crossed swords (This icon indicates that a player is in a multicombat area) which appear in the bottom right hand corner of the interface. Anywhere else is classified as a single combat area.
