Jaffy1
Just a thing I noticed while joining a friend with her slayer assignment.. After some 10 minutes of killing them I had 16 Crimson, 4 green and 3 gold charms. An inventory later I got 17 Crimsons, 9 green, and 5 gold charms. Notes: They primarily drop Crimson Charms. Codguy
Now, it seems true that Shadow Warriors drop more Crimson Charms than the other charms, however, I'm not sure if it's worth noting this in the notes section. Looking at other monsters in the Bestiary, it seems as if only the best Crimson Charm droppers have notes about this. Not to mention that Shadow Warriors are no longer deemed to be a very great source of experience, as they once were "back in the day." However, I would be perfectly willing to go check it out and get another opinion on the charm drop rate. Also, if you happen to see this post, about how often are the charms dropped? Because if you don't get a very good charm:kill ratio, then it wouldn't seem to be a very good source. However, if it is a good ratio, it might be! Rien
I agree with Codguy, for the most part. I'll keep this open in the hopes that the two of you (and perhaps others who read this) will come forward with addition information, as I'm not certain of the truth of the matter (I haven't killed any Shadow Warriors since I first accessed the Legends' Guild, which was long before Summoning was released). I suspect that Shadow Warriors are a poor source of Crimson Charms compared to many other monsters (and so would not warrant a note in the entry), but I could very well be wrong. It'll be interesting to see the results of the research. :) Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew? Check out our Website Updates & Corrections Board! Codguy
If I remember, after my current task, I'll go check them out and give some statistics and timing, to see how good they are.
Codguy
Alright, I did some testing of this. I killed 73 Shadow Warriors. I got:13 Crimsons10 Gold5 Green2 Blue This brought a total of 30 charms from 73 kills, or a 41.1% charm drop rate (for a comparison, Waterfiends have a ~90% charm drop rate). The following represent the percentages of the charms that were dropped:Crimson - 43.3%Gold - 33.3%Green - 16.7%Blue - 6.7% Yes, they do drop mainly Crimsons, however from my experience, they didn't drop charms often enough. However, it's up to the Crew on whether to add this in or not.
Rien
Thank you very much, Codguy! 'A wonderful bit of research there. :) This confirms my suspicions that Shadow Warriors are mediocre charm droppers, so I'll be locking this thread now. Jaffy1, if you have anything to add or dispute, please don't hesitate to pm me; I'll be happy to hear you out. Cheers, everyone. :) Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew?
