I can only speak in terms of Fletching as I don't have experience with the ranging. Fletching won't cost you a thing if you do Yew longs all the way. Buy logs and cut them and then buy strings and string them. Then put them up for sale.

The numbers behind it:

Yew logs - 456 gp each

Bow strings - 193 gp each

The supplies cost 649 gp per bow and they sell for 686 gp at mid. So at mid prices which are fairly reliable, you will make 37 gp per bow with the skill. From level 90 to 99 (assuming these prices remain stable) you will make approximately 1.9m after 51k bows.

Using SC knives will reduce the amount of work and therefore the amount of profit, too. But they're definitely a fast way of gaining XP. Each tool lasts about 75k xp. You'll need just over 100 tools.

I made cash when I did Fletching a few months ago, so not much has changed :) Good luck!

I don't recall exactly what XP I gained per hour while Fletching. I know it was quite a significant amount. Obviously it varies greatly whether you're using the SC tools or not, but I don't remember to be completely honest. I don't want to throw out numbers that are incorrect. You might try fletching for about 5 minutes and see how many you can do in that time-frame. Then you can figure out the average hourly xp you can gain by multiplying the 5 minute amount by 12 to get the hourly rate. Perhaps someone can post their hourly XP they have gained. Sorry I can't help there.

I'm not exactly sure on the hour rates, but I seem to recall a figure of about 1200 bows an hour being cut, and I want to say it's around the same for the stringing now since it's a "string x" option now.

Also, from the your current range xp to 99, you should accumulate approx. 3,111,333.6 hp xp.

It's around 40-60m for reds at ape atol monkeys. However you profit at chaos tunnel nechs, so you may want to check them out. Kuradal is the best master by far. her cave alone makes her superior not to mention the better task list and the amount of points.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

At lvl 99, one can get up to 280 xp/red chin, and 360K xp/hr.

At lvl n for all n > 70, one can get up to 280(n/99)^1.1 xp/red chin, and 360K(n/99)^1.1 xp/hr.

For grey chinchompas, multiply the above numbers by three quarters.

The usage of combat familiars can add up to about 20K xp/hr.
