Over a year from runescape, what have I missed?

Hey everyone, I've decided to come back to runescape after a 15 month period without playing whatsoever. What kind of updates have I missed, anything big or worthwhile knowing?

I just did a barrows run with melee, did they make the melee brothers a lot stronger or something?

I dont think so, theyve always been weak to mage though <.<
