Crimson Charms...Where to get them?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to make a big stock of these for the weekend coming up, but I'm not quite sure which monsters to kill to get them. I was camping Dusties, but a quick look at Kent's guide told me that they are only good if you want to train your combat with Summoning on the SIDE.

I want full out summoning exp, which monsters should I kill? Black Demons? Maybe Waterfiends?

DO NOT SAY SLAYER! Slayer is extremely slow for charms, compared to camping crim droppers :/

Thanks for the help :)

Your options include Waterfiends, and Rock Lobsters... but you could try greaters too.

Dusties are better than greaters in my opinion but that's only because dusties are easier to kill.

I haven't tried waterfiends or RL yet.

Have you done famierzation? i did that and got 3X charms and in the 30 minutes i had it i got OVER 150 crimsons from the dusties.

I havnt tested famaliaristation yet guess it's time...

rock lobsters aren't really an option, 5m cashpile is kind of restricting :/

Are waterfiends profitable? If so I'll give them a shot, if not I guess I'm stickin to dusties :)

Yea they're profitable, a lot more so than dusties(assuming you don't get a d Chain). Although that 5M cashpile may need to b spent on a Z Spear for max efficiency(DBA and Mace works good too)

Do waterfiends. Get a ZS with that cashpile and crush 'em to death.

If you really don't want to spend the cash, Greater Demons are marginally better for charms alone than Dusties.

I did some homework on the Waterfiends, and apparently you have to pray range while wearing high mage defence armour? So since I would have to go to and from banks to get more ppots wouldn't greaters/dusties be better for charms since I can basically camp those?

With the fairy ring in the ancient cavern backing and restocking takes literally a minute or two, plus you can recharge your summoning points on the way to the bank in Zanaris. Considering both the profit you'll make and the speed that you'll get crimsons the banking is a bagatelle.

I just read through a very good waterfiend guide, and saw that having 68 summoning for a bunyip is a VERY important part of fighting waterfiends. I guess Im going to camp Dusties to get the crims I need to get to 68 summoning :P

I tried greater demons, and they sucked tbh. Maybe different locations to kill them have different drop rates? IDK, but the ones at the wilderness volcano didn't seem to drop crimson charms much at all...

LOL. OVER 150@@@@@@@@

If you cannon scabarites after that you can get 350 crimsons in 20 minutes, easily.
