Train on monkey guards?

My username is Admiirae - My attack level is 78, my strength level is 90, and my defence level is 71. I've currently been training on ankous but they're just getting wayyy too boring :/ (I trained my str from at least level 60 to my current level). I'm wondering if I should train on Monkey Guards now.

My armour set:

Helm of Neitiznot

Guthan's chainskirt

Guthan's body

Dragon boots

Obsidian cape

Regen bracelet

Warrior's ring

Weapon: Saradomin Sword / Abyssal whip + obby shield

Also I was wondering whether to use ss or whip for training attack

Thanks :D

Personally, I can't stand camping at a monster that long, so I use slayer for any Combat Training.

But some notes on monkey guards

There's an Altar right there, they have a lot of HP, and also heal themselves. They have no drops however, other then bones, and take a long time to kill. If you got bored at Ankous, you won't last long here. But there's no denying that it's pretty good XP.

Whip for training atk. SS is only good for strength.

As there's an alter right there, don't worry about defensive or prayer bonus armour. Worry about strength bonus. Pray melee and the best strength and attack boosting prayers you can. Bring antipoisons, because there are a few little spiders hanging around that like to poison you. Bring a one-click teleport, because bad things do happen. DON'T leave the side of the alter, because last I checked, you CANNOT walk through the monkey guards. That's what the one-click tele will be for. If you get separated from the alter and and running out of prayer.

You'll eventually figure out how things work, just be careful and be prepared.

Last I remember it was only the bearded guards near the ladder that you couldn't walk through.
