Will it make a big difference between that and just regularly bursting them?

Sol has a little lower magic attack than master wand but has 5% more boost. Also it gives u 1/8 free runes. Wolper increases ur magic level which means more accurate and more damage. They are both very good to have

If you have 92 summoning there is no reason to not use wolpertinger. No reason to not use SOL, either, since you can borrow it. They are the best familiar and staff for bursting/barraging.

I'll have about 94 after the weekend (summ) and I want 95 mage since i'll be 93 slayer soon so my plan is to burst lobsters.

 

What will the xp per hr be with sol/wolpertinger

i heard its about 120k/hr without.

There is some kind of glitch that the extra magic damage only affects one lobster, so wolpertinger won't do much difference and I heard it messes up your lures... SOL stays nice, since you save runes.

So only use SOL and no Wolpertinger

don't use wolpentinger... as said above, the magic damage boost only affects one lobster so your charm-gathering rate is unaffected.

 

if you're gonna use the staff of light, get battle robes too... 50% rune-usage is amazing. for familiars, a bunyip is by far the best familiar to bring. bring scrolls too-- if you somehow get low on hp, you can eat the raw lobsters and if you're waiting for lobsters to respawn, you can transmute the raw lobsters into water runes. the bunyip never distracts the lobsters either.

 

and use smoke barrage until you can use ice barrage

So don't use ice burst? How much per cast is smoke barrage

wouldn't battle robes degrade too quickly to make them worth bringing? I've only used them briefly at clan wars and they seemed to go from 100 to 80 pretty fast

Any combat familiar will mess up your lures. Don't use it.
