Sister Nicci
I just got the bridge river crossing event, the one with logs. While it is not actually stated in the guide for the minigame, it does seem to imply that Undead Lumberjacks will appear only during the treeless event. Well, I just got the bridge event with trees, and Undead Lumberjacks came up out of the river. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary, cut. Sy_Accursed
I wouldnt say its wrong or need correcting. It says with trees use your hatchet to get logs to make the bridge.Without trees kill the undead lumberjacks for planks. The presence of the lumberjacks is totally irrelevant to the method of completing the with trees event. Sister Nicci
I played this minigame for three months to get a full set of lumberjack clothes, and I've been playing it now for a week to collect talon beast charms. I've had both bridge events many times, and this is the first time I've seen Undead Lumberjacks come out on the one with trees. And I waited to see if they would, several times, when going for lumberjack items. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary, cut. Sy_Accursed
That doesn't make a difference really. Guide tells you to complete the bridge event WITH trees you cut the trees down. The fact of lumberjacks being there or not is not relevant to completing the event. JoeDaStudd
This only happens if you wait a while I think.I noticed you can make them spawn again if you just wait there for a few minutes after killing the first set.At the time I thought nothing of it, but it might be worth seeing if its possible to just wait there for them to spawn. Could be possible to get the full set with only 1 event, but who knows. Sister Nicci
I think it makes a difference for those who are playing the minigame specifically to get lumberjack clothes. And, no, it's not possible to get more than one lumberjack item drop in the same event. I tried. Oh, how I tried. I once waited for two auto logouts before chopping the trees, and then for two more auto logouts after chopping them, and then again for two more after repairing the bridge. No undead lumberjacks came crawling out of the river. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary, cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. Codguy
Well, I'm actually curious if this is a bug. I've never experienced this before. And you just said that it's only happened that one time (if I'm correct by your implications) and have tried other times to see if the Undead Lumberjacks would spawn on that event, and never did (except for that time). If that's correct, that it seems more like a bug/glitch in the Activity, rather than something that is supposed to happen. If you encounter it again, please tell us. This would be interesting if this proves not to be a bug/glitch.
Sister Nicci
It may very well be a bug or glitch, I hadn't considered that as a possibility. And, yes, this has happened to me only the one time, and, yes, I'd tried before to see if they would pop up during event regardless of the presence of the trees, but they never did. I've also tried a few times since; as of yet, no Undead Lumberjacks and trees in the same event. I'll keep an eye out for it in the future, as I plan on collecting at least a hundred talon beast charms each time I do a major bout of summoning. This one just might be a glitch or bug, as well: on the treeless bridge crossing event, all five Undead Lumberjacks came up out of the river at the same time. This has also happened but once only, during the first or second month I spent trying to get a lumberjack top, so I have no picture of it. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Codguy
Interesting. I've never personally seen that either. I think your account is rigged :P So, I believe that these are just bugs/glitches in the Activity. Weird coincidence that you'd get two though. Anyways, I'll leave the thread unlocked for a little while longer in the event that it happens again, or someone else can account for it happening as well. But I'm assuming since they only occurred the one time, for each one, it's probably not meant to happen.
Sister Nicci
It would be weird, yes, if they both were bugs, both experienced by the same person. >.< At least, though, if they are, then they're now known. If they're not bugs but rather extremely rare occurrences, then -once again- at least they're now known. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary, cut. Speedyshel
I believe as JoedaStudd mentioned above, waiting a short while may prompt them to spawn and that may be wherein lies the answer. Do you know if they immediately began to spawn or if it was a slight delay? Also, in the event with trees, can you use planks from the lumberjacks to complete the event? - Speedyshel Website Updates and Corrections *..It is better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not..*
Sister Nicci
I've tried waiting for a good 15 minutes before, on the event with trees, and no lumberjacks spawned except for that one time. There was a delay, I'd already chopped logs and was placing the first one by the time they started spawning; after that, they spawned at about the same rate that they do normally on the treeless event. And, I don't know if you can use the planks to complete the event, I didn't think to test that, as I was already fixing the bridge with logs. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Codguy
I apologize for not getting back to this thread! So, since I have not heard or seen any reports of this happening to anyone besides you, for both accounts, I will consider these to be glitches/bugs. So for now, I'll be locking this thread and moving it. If this happens to anyone else, or again, please feel free to post another thread or to PM me or any other Crew members about it. Thanks, Codguy
