Right I read the other topic asking about how unicorns compare to bunyips and so I think I'm alright with the slayer side of it:

 

Bunyip everything if you need constant healing/any healing at all.

Unicorn hard hitters, like wyverns and WFs (they hate me with raw fish, and I guess with pony I can piety them nao too :D)

Geyser for anything that is multi and if I need range exp?? (Also are scrolls worth it?)

 

However what other uses do unicorns have? I really want to be able to get the best out of my uni, and so therefore will consider boss hunting etc. But I need to know what I need really. How many scrolls, how many pouches, main places to use them, tactics and the like.

Browse through the last few pages, this question has been asked a couple times, but essentially, gwd, corp, miths, wyverns, dks.. you know things like that.

For slayer, the unicorn is really only useful at Waterfiends, and boss monsters if you kill them via slayer. No other place requires the unicorn's healing, except perhaps Wyverns, but it would be better to use a BoB there for profit (if you don't care about profit, go ahead and use the uni though, it's a long walk from a bank so personally I don't bother).

 

Nearly every boss monster situation benefits from the unicorn, however. Some exceptions are the KBD (bunyip + super anti + piety + melee overheals me), the Mole, and bosses such as DKS, where you can use Guthans to heal.

-Mith Drags

-Fire Giants

-Strykewyrms (Desert, idk bout ice/jungle)

-Boss Hunting (All Bosses, but remember to try BOB like war tort, and when that is gone summon unicorn)

Damage comes in small increments. If you want to afk.

All the GWD bosses i find the uni to work well on. And looks like the rest have been covered as well.

 

I find a yak to be better at DKs for me, i like the 20k gp from the hides and bones.

It would be awesome for pyramid plunder, free poison cures. Just a thought.

Personally, I use fighter familiars with EVERY combat situation except bosses. SGS keeps HP up, and if that doesn't always do it, Guthans works too, and fighters are a huge boost to killing speed.

This doesn't work very well because the poison cure drains your actual summoning points, so you'd be needing to recharge at an obelisk every twenty-thirty minutes. Better to just use super antipoisons and bunyips.

I have never been much of a boss hunter. But went with a few friends to zammy tonight. I brought tort. Then after that was gone. Went with the unicorn. And I loved it was so nice. So yeah zammy rocks with a unicorn. :thumbsup: And yeah I just got Unicorn this weekend. P.S nothin great at zammy. But the old classic every one tellies out because supplies where gone. Me and one other guy stayed for one last kill. Got a shard split. lol
