I learned a lesson about puzzle boxes today...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got one from General Bentnoze on my last treasure trail. I work on it for a bit, just about done, but a friend who I don't see often logs on. So, I go hang with him instead of finishing the trail. I didn't realize the puzzle gets reset. Beginner's mistake :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ah well. I log on today, solve the puzzle, and head back over to the goblin village. Ol' Bentnoze gives me the post-Goblin Diplomacy dialog, but that's all. Huh? I try and try, but the big GB won't take or talk about the darn puzzle. So, I reluctanly sign off, search these forums, and find no help. Then I ask myself, "Wait. Did I exchange the clue scroll for the puzzle box or did I bank a clue scroll?"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I walk to the Falador bank. There's the clue scroll :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I withdraw the scroll, walk back to Generalis Bentshnozzle., solve the puzzle (it takes longer this time), and he takes it. Yay!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, FYI: Make sure you keep that scroll with you! I didn't realize it does not get "exchanged" for the puzzle box. Hope this spares people some possible.

I've never had a puzzle box before, thatnks for the advice incase i do get one.

Ugh. It took me darn near 45 minutes to do the last one I did. Near the end I had to damn near redo the whole thing.

Puzzle boxes are great fun! :D I always hope I get them when I'm doing clues.

Yes, The good old puzzle box fooled me on my first one. I think I had 2 squares to go and my modem reset itself. That was the day I hated Clue Scrolls but Tip.it has such an awesome guide lol. Out of curiosity, was the reward worth it?

puzzle's arent that hard just use tip.it help
