I've decided to go for 70construction, and using the tip.it calculators, i've found out that i'll need exactly 1650 mahogany planks to get the xp needed for 70. The question is, how many sc hammers will i need to use all 1650 planks?

Why the hell are you using Mahogany?

 

Do Oak Larders until 74 and Oak Doors until 99.

 

Hammers are about 50k xp/hr, so do the math yourself.

mahogany tables are 870 xp each and require 6 planks/table. Im doing the same thing and its going to take me 9 hammers from 61 to 70 using this method(1428 planks or 247 tables)

That means your spending any extra 12MIL, if you got 1mil experience, for maybe, 30 minutes saved?

Oak all the way guys. Mahogany would've been useful for the weekend, but that's over.

actually its only costing me 2.8m to get from 61 to 70 con lol.

Because I used 1m experience as my starting point. 61-70 is like 300k xp >_>

 

And if your using Sc hammers divide those number in half..

 

-4.6gp/xp for oak and

 

-11gp/xp for moahogany

I've been making Mahogany tables since I was able to. Went from 70 to 75 on double exp weekend.

 

Definitely cost more, but I don't mind. Money fluctuates constantly but once you have that exp its forever, so I try to get the most out of my time and not worry about money.

 

It does help that I'm rich though...

Oak planks aren't necessarily the "way to go." It all depends on how you value your time, value your money, as well as what you value the experience at.

 

If you don't care about money, have it all, and want fast experience, then of course Mahogany is the best. However, if you have troubles making money, and it's always a burden to spend money on skills, then Oak is a more likely scenario.

 

I used Oak for a while, and hit 90 Construction with Oak. However, I'm planning on going to 99 with Mahogany without SC, as it's fast, and I value my time at a high rate of income, as well as don't mind burning a bit of extra cash for faster experience. At the rates of experience that I get, Mahogany ends up being about twice as fast as Oak, which means it's actually worth it to me to spend more money in order to gain that faster experience.

 

SC Hammers with Construction earn a total of 50,750 experience I believe. So that would be calculated to 9.1 hammers, or 10 hammers rounded.

Cod explained that perfectly, but thats a whole load of experience. For 300k experience, it isnt a big deal. Your spending 1m more for maybe 15minutes less of work.
