Need a setup/invo for MEP2.

Featured Replies

Well, i decided i want to try and get my quest cape now that i've achieved my goal of 99 def. I need a setup and invo to take when i do this quest as the shades seem to hit fairly hard from what i can understand.

Well, with 99 Def, you may just want to Tank them. Just wear your best defensive armour (Torag's is very nice) and bring some sharks or something. Keep a Prayer Potion or two just in case something goes wrong. At your Agility level, the handholds shouldn't be too difficult, but I'd still recommend bringing a Summer Pie (or two)

Other than that, just remember to keep some space free for the Mirrors etc., and Good Luck!

If you're concerned about run energy you can wear monk robes and just pray melee until you can hide from them, if you have a fally shield you shouldn't need any pray pots. It's also worth it to bring a terrorbird for more food and the run restore, and the EE is also a good healing weapon if you get low on hp. Best of luck!

Enhanced Excalibur, it's the reward from completing all the seers diaries. It's spec restores 200 lp, so it's very useful in this situation.

Sorry to hi-jack this topic, but ima looking to do MEP2 when I get my agil to 70...... is it really that easy to tank those shades or would people still say go with high prayer stuff and pray melee?

Sorry again :P

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

2672nd person to reach 2496 total.
Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D

From my experience the shades hit pretty hard and often... Although I was only level 78 defense when I completed the quest. I think that high pray gear would still be a better bet, it will also reduce your weight by quite a bit making the agility obstacles a lot easier as well as keeping your run energy up which is always a good thing when doing MEP2!

I would recommend that you bring a few pray pots as well as some sharks as already mentioned, and 2-3 summer pies, because you do need to cross the hand holds at least two times.

I believe i was around like 75 def when i completed it too, and they do hit hard, and praying is DEFINTELY the best method.
