Returning after a 2 years hiatus.

Featured Replies

Hi. I've returned to Runescape after taking an approximately 2 year long break and I'm finding it hard to get started up again.

Although I was a member for some time before quitting I do not seem to have any of my member's items from my previous subscription. This obviously includes the armour, weaponry and skill related items I had but also the items that I can recall obtaining from quests that were fairly useful such as the Crystal Bow, and the magic secateurs (although I believe I know were to obtain these). I currently have 3.5 million GP and I'm wondering what would be the best way to use this money to regain these lost items and to move forward in the game. To be a bit more specific, what armour and weaponry would be the best for me to purchase to begin accumulating some better gear without making life unreasonably difficult? What are the current methods of generating money at a reasonable rate within the game, given my skills and assuming no PvP or merchanting abilities? As well as this, has combat and levelling changed dramatically within the previous 2 years?

Any assistance anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

Kingdom Management is a great way to make money easliy, that is if you put money in it and wait a while to collect. Planting herbs and picking them after grown is an easy way to make some cash with very little work or focus.

Combat is still straight forward, attack this get exp and loot it. The only changes is now that everything is multiplied by 10. So you would now have 810 Life Points and would be able to hit 10x as high.

Also there are probably a few different ways to train combat along with new potions and prayers.

You can read about all updates here. Buy something cheap line rune and a dragon scimitar until you can afford a whip and some barrows armour. There are many easy ways to make money, such as gathering blue dragonscale or snapegrass. And of course killing dragons.

quit

Kill dragons while doing farm runs on the side

Also slayer might work but you're level is kind of low to make any real money

I wouldn't suggest collecting stuff because no xp for it
