Solo Dag Prime + Rex Setups

Anyone do solo rex + prime hybriding instead of solo supreme + prime?

 

If so, do you have any setup suggestions? How many yaks to bring? How many prayer potions? Guthans? Soul Split?

All I know is that you take telegrab runes from prime drops.

It's a fairly easy process, and as mentioned above, you'll need telegrab runes.

Treat your setup as you would when solo maging Rex, just with a Ranged twist. Bring full guthan but also Karils top to use when ranging Prime. Ava's accumulator is also a good idea as you won't be able to literally pick up your runes. EE might be a better beat since you can't SGS spec Supreme and staying on look out for Spinolyps can be a pain.

I would bring about 3-4 Yaks (plus ~300 scrolls), 5-8 Antipoison+ and 20-30 Restores/Ppots. The amount of antipoison depends on how many Prayer Potions you bring, and vise versa.

 

NOTE: The dagannoth kings recently had an AI update and it is extremely easy to get Supreme on you while ranging Prime; if using a Rune C'bow, I suggest going on longranged! It's also easier to get Prime on you when maging Rex.

How recent was this AI update? I soloed rex for a couple weeks about a month ago, and I found the AI to be reasonable

The update was a couple weeks ago. Rex's safespot didn't quite change as much as Primes and Supremes did.

I go Tribrid DKS a lot, and I found Supreme's attacking distance was a lot closer than it use to be, as well as Rex, when ranging Prime. I also noticed Rex's attacking distance was updated as he will attack far more often when you're melee'ing Supreme.
