Range Training

First, my stats:

 

 

I've been meaning to get my range up for a while, preferably to 85. I don't particularly mind the speed, but I'd like to make some form of profit or just break even on ammunition. What armour/weapons would you recommend along with that training spot? The only gear I can think of that is beyond my reach is Armadyl, so suggest away.

 

As an aside, what slayer tasks would be preferable to range? I usually use Chaeldar but I'd be open to switching to Lapalok.

Cannoning aberrant spectres profits and is pretty good xp. I'd do this til 80 or 85, when I'd switch to chinning.

It's really slow.. but I generally range my black dragon tasks. (Which Lapalok assigns, but Chaelder does not I'm pretty sure). I have no idea the exp rate (slow :P) but you'll definitely make a profit. Can even buy really good ammo with the profit you'd make. :P Would make the tasks go faster.

You can throw in a cannon to speed things up with black drags, but unless you bank hides and bones you won't be profiting.

You can always range the blue drags tasks at Gu-Thanoth dungeon or whatever, banking hides and bones, that's what I did up to 90 ranged, gives a decent profit.

Also ranging the caged greaters there isn't a really bad idea either if you use like steel or iron arrows and do the clues you surely profit. (need telekinetic grab to get your clues and rune fulls, and other useful stuff though).

Also, I don't know about this now, with these pesky revs and stuff, but fire giants were great to range in the wildy 50-is dungeon through the gate.

You can also safespot dustdevils pretty easily and they have a rather lowish ranged def, so that's what I'd do as well.

Black demons are AWESOME raw ranged xp with cannon and x-bow. Without that you'll bore yourself to death though (same goes for black drags btw)
