jonni
so i'm looking for information on the best methods/setups for them- I'd prefer to do melee, is normal gear, monks super set and uni fine or do i need mage def or nonstop prayer?is ranging decent? i know you can just stand beside some scenery and they won't burrow, but do you still need prayer?I know mage destroys them pretty fast but i'd rather melee.thanks dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project. qeltar
I fight them without a fire cape so that's what this is based on. With one it may be a bit different. That said.. they are pretty easy to kill, actually, if you use prayer, which is what I recommend. Best prayer gear, Slayer helmet, your favorite weapon. Don't even need a unicorn, just bring a beast of burden with cheap to moderate healing food. They'll hit you periodically so just heal up. Doesn't take that long to get back if you need to bank. The trick with these is to click them when they are near stalagmites or walls. You can do this 95% of the time and it stops them from digging. bedman
I kill them with a fire cape and I use turmoil. I just flash soul split to heal, and it works very well. I use a yak so I can bank some drops if I need to. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
SirIzenhime
Wearing good prayer gear with a Bunyip/Uni + an EE/SGS to heal from thier occasional magic atks is good enough. It is possible to tank them with a unicorn, but you'd almost be spamming your unicorn, and if they get magic happy, you wouldn't last long. They do have a lot of hp, so keep in mind each kill will take awhile, resulting in a good number of prayer potions being used. Good luck on getting a SoL Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
