You can't expect a decent answer with such little information. But here's the most common reasons I can think of:

 

Old Computer

Bad Specs on computer

Bad internet connection / carrier

Too many programs running at once

Could have viruses/spyware/other nasties

Logging onto servers far away from you geographicly
