jayc3399
I am currently going for 99 fishing on my main from 86 and it is rather boring, so I have decided to start working on a pure at the same time. What I'm wondering is what are some good skills to raise to get money on this account. It is going to be a range pure so I don't have ant quest restrictions my only request is that it be somewhat attention required but not totally stare at the screen concentration, I still need to be able to fish :). It is going to stay f2p for now but will become members at some point, I'd like to avoid combat as f2p so I can maximize the nber of charms I collect from training All skills are basically level one right now, I'm just looking for a money making skill for a pure. Cptbaker08
Don't really need much skills to get money, just need a little cash pile to begin with. Buying feathers, water runes, and earth runes and selling those on the ge can net you nice profits. Once you get some you can also make pizza bases, requires no levels but gets no exp, and sell those on the ge as well to make profit. The first part i was doing on a noob i was making and i now have almost 200k with very little work. Don't forget that some quests give extra coins when doing them, and also going through the SoS gets you coins for going through as well as the catacombs in lumby will allow you to get those statuettes and sell to the lady for a little bit of gp as well. jayc3399
I've got about 57k to use right now. And I'm not opposed to leveling up some skills just looking for some suggestions as to what a good money skill is for f2p. D. V. Devnull
jayc3399, if you wish to gain a ton of gp, then I personally recommend you look into 'Mining & Smithing' as an optimum combination for doing that gaining. To start, do Bronze-based items all the way to Level 30. You'll need 715 Bronze Bars to get there. Don't even worry about Iron, because with that low a Smithing Level, you would end up wasting far too many Iron Ores. After achieving Level 30 Smithing, however, switch totally to making Steel (Iron + Coal) items. It will take 1,600 Steel Bars, but you'll want to do this until Level 50, at which the next big gp-gainer unlocks, Mithril items. And don't worry about the Mining Level coming up far enough. As long as you mine all (or at least 95%+ of) your own stuff, that will never be a concern. :) Now, this whole time, I haven't mentioned what you can pair with it. TBH, as long as you plan on running your Range Level to at least Level 55 (making your Range Level remain in control of your Combat Level) or more, you could stand to also do some 'RuneCrafting & Mage' (which, yes, you can train magic mostly without combat as well, thankfully) alongside the 'Mining & Smithing' combination which I suggested. This would give you access to High Alchemy, which if you achieved that before you reached Smithing Level 48, would allow you to tap into a permanent incoming stream of gp from the 'Mining & Smithing' combination, enabling you to attain self-sufficiency. Cool, eh? BTW, this particular method I suggest requires Zero (slang synonyms: Zip, Zilch, nada, none) gp to start with. TBH, that kinda makes it optimal to use. And that's just my thoughts on the matter. What you do, however, is entirely up to you. All I can do is lend you advice to make an informed decision with... B) ~Mr. D. V. "I'm full of F2P-based solutions..." wordsofthelord
Farming herbs. Toadflax, rannarrs and avantoe are all very good. Nevermind. I just reread his original post and saw that he wants to avoid combat as a f2per.
