L0rdAki
Well, I've decided to become a real Scrooge, as I've been rather loose with my money as of late. I've been doing kingdom, farming, and fletching broads daily. I'm out to continue this scheme, and once again I put my pride aside and beg help from those much wiser then I. First, I put 10 on herbs and 5 on raw fish in kingdom. 7.5m cash in there at the moment, so I'm not losing there. When I check it daily to collect resources, I raise approval back up to 100% for the next day. Is this optimal? For farming, I plant Marigolds with normal compost and avantoes with supercompost. I'm by and large not Interested in snaps/ranarrs, as if one dies I lose epic cash. I plant nothing in the allotment patches. Every 2 runs, I do a fruit tree run and get papayas from them. At the end of every run, I pick my 3 cactus spines. I have access to troll patch. Is this optimal? Is there anything else I should be planting? Should I be making supercompost somehow? For Dailies, I buy 3k unf broads and 3k feathers from stores and fletch them. I only want dailies that actually sell (Bert and arnheim, I'm lookng at you...you too zaff), could I have some help here? For magic, having just reached 77 I'm interested in a way that I could train that could bring in exp and a little cash at the same time. Examples I've heard of include Superglass make, charging air orbs, and b2p tabs (I have both the spell and the lecturn). Given I value time very low due to my sporadic playstyle (75k or less an hour sounds right), which of these sort of things is most effciant and what is the best way to do them? For herblore, I've taken a look into cleaning herbs...and found it to b rubbish. Cleaning them and trying to sell, even putting them into vials and trying to sell, barely ever breaks even, let alone profiting. Is there a guide on what to do for this? I've tries ranarrs, toadflax and irits so far. For general use, is it worth spending a little time at stealing creation for their respective tools? For fletching, given that maple longs u acually sell for alching now, and make a decent profit, is it worth fletching them? Are there better alternatives that make cash down the track? Nothing that'll kill my hands, ease (3k broads a day is bad enough, lol. ) For cooking/fm, what is the most efficiant (ie fastest keeping in mind cost, or least costly keeping in mind speed) way of doing these? I need 80 and 75 in these respectivly. Thanks. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
romu000
Welcome aboars to Scrooge followers. Kingdon sounds good, maybe a 9-6 or even 8-7 balance may help. Now i'm less in coin needs i do 8 mapple (for nests) 7 herbs to opmtimize nest / herbs. Zaff daily is my best ever (varrock armour 3 required to the best) => 64 cheap b staves + self made/enchanted orbs up from 80 to 85 craft (and 99 magic) then (when i hitted magic, i bough enchanted orbs with still breaking event. Bert + seaweeds in Catherby are required for magic/craft too (lunar superglass then craft/enchant/alch orbs) I maxed magic through all my smithin/crafting training. Craft is awesome with magic : enchant/alch the item you make.I used for long C Gold mine in brimhaven from where i mined like 50k gold ores i smelted into bars then crafted into gems i finally alched. I also alched my fletching and of course the orb thing helped me a lot : lunar to get molten glass, enchant orb and alch b staves = much magich xp there. herblore : i started along farming/slayer and putting my slayer incomes into herbs. i of course never ever sold any herb seed since i planted all i could. All this + Kingdom brought me into the 89s, time i went lucky in boss hunting and pay my current way to 96 at high price though. I did a part of my fletch when we could hire for people to wc yew logs. now GE is the only way. I Finished it along my "Wood" monthes with cuting 50k yews for my own use. I spend the cash i got from it into more to finish.I burned my kingdom mapple so there is no point there.Cooking is was bought with my 99 hunter extra chins. Oh baby light the dark side... Thewizard
I find cleaning herbs to be quite good. Use this to see which herbs give the best gp/xp. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tix0mH-83pgzsARJj6D9vvA&output=htmlWhen you find which herb is the best buy 1 grimy from the GE. Clean it. Sell it back (Use median price for both buying and selling) and if you make money buy more. I only buy 1k or so at a time because the price changes fast and you may lose money. lagatag
For my kingdom, I put some on coal, some on fish, and some on maples. This isn't the most profit, but it gives me nests (nests useful for herblore, tree seeds for farming xp, maple logs for fm xp), the coal gives me supplies because I occasionally like to superheat and also gems for when I craft, and the fish gives me most of my profit, and I keep some fish for cooking xp and food to use if I need it. Sometimes I'll switch the coal over to herbs. I don't really do dailies aside from herb runs, but imo that isnt really a daily. I'll go to Zaff for battlestaves if I'm training crafting, but that's it really. Farming, for profit really snaps are best. Yeah if they die you'll take a temporary hit, but in the long run snaps are far more profitable than any other herb. I'd also recommend using supercompost for marigolds too. I used to use just regular compost, but they live so much more often with supercompost that the extra cash spent is worth it imo. For magic I would recommend using superheat and making mithril/steel bars. Steel bars are more magic/smithing xp, mithril bars are more profit. Superglass make is good as well, but only if you're good with mousekeys. I'm not, for some reason no matter what settings I use for mouskeys, my moniter, or even the size of the screen in RS, it always under/overshoots where I need it to go. For herblore, cleaning herbs requires careful checking of the GE for herb prices so you can buy/sell whenever you'll get a profit on the herbs. This makes it really not a very consistent method of getting xp, and because you can clean so many herbs in an hour, you're not likely to buy enough herbs to actually clean them for a whole hour on short notice. To maximise herblore xp and cash gained you really need to just have a lot of patience with this method, and supplement it with regular potion making. Fletching, stringing maples longs from maple long(u) until you can do yews, yews until magics. Stringing basically is break even, you might make a marginal amount of money per hour. Magics lose money though. I think stringing is faster than cutting, and cutting basically loses money once you get to yews. Also with stringing, you can string shortbows and still profit until magics, whereas with cutting you have to cut longbows. For cooking, if you have gaunts, start with lobs right away, then move to swordies at 81, otherwise do tuna until 74, and lobs until 86. Monkfish at 90 regardless of gaunts. Sharks at 94 if you have gaunts. Those are the no burn levels, you could start a level or two before if you wanted. For farming and herblore, what I personally do is farm the herb for the highest potion I can make, and occasionally throw in snap runs to pay for supercompost, seconds, and other things I may need. I sell back half the potions I make which usually gets me more than enough seeds back, and I get to keep some potions to use myself. Stealing Creation is worth it I think, if you plan on training crafting, smithing, or construction. Basically for skills you can "buy" SC tools will cut the cost of them in half. 3PointMan
For farming, I plant Marigolds with normal compost and avantoes with supercompost. Anything but the expensive ones is a waste. Think of this as an example. Pretend avantoe is herb one and pretend Snapdragons are herb 2. Herb one cost 2k and the seed costs 5k. Lets say you get 6 herbs per patch. At all 5 patches, that is 30 herbs, which is 60k. 5 seeds is 25k You make 35k profit. Herb two is 15k, while the seed is 25k. 6 Herbs / Patch etcetc. At all 5 patches, that is 30 herbs, which is 450k. 5 Seeds is 125k. You make much more profit, even if 2/3 of the herbs die. It is much better to always plant the more expensive herbs. It is better experience, and your cheating yourself out of money. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
L0rdAki
Glad to know i'm not the only one :P Romu, It sounds like you're really a DIY person. I can't do that, as I see something like "Craft 10k orbs, then enchant 10k orbs" and I just freak out...:P It sounds like slayer really is the way to go, though, but at the moment i do need better gear...(Sorry to hijack my own thread, but is 75 slayer for my combat skills low? :S) Laga, I didn't even consider Superheat or stringing unstrungs. Thanks for that. Point, I suppose let's use your logic here (Considering that it's flawed, as you always have the potential to get more herbs/patch) Avantoes are like 5k ea atm, seeds are 4k. Snaps are 20k? at the moment, seeds are 90k. For avantoes, 5k by 30 gives 150k, -20k is 130k. For snaps, 20k by 30 is 600k, -450k is 150k. Guaranteeing that one seed dies per run, as usually happens for me, snaps lose money :( Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
