Cave horrors

So i just finished cabin fever (bad name for the quest) and now i have access to cave horrors. In the past i have heard they are decent money, and with black masks 1m+ i think im going to try and snag a few. What are the best ways to kill them? im not on slayer assignment, so slayer helm is out

 

also, if anyone has the drop rate for the mask, much appreciated

Drop rate? Let's just say that's one of the slayer items I've never gotten as a drop ever.

They're around 400k an hour assuming you get a black mask in a decent amount of time. Wear mage defense, i. e. Karil's or black dhide and bring a whip. They drop decent herbs seeds but the black mask is going to be what really makes the profit. Personally, it took me around 150 to get one, but I've heard the drop rate is around 1 in 350. The only problem is that they're a bit far apart; I recommend going to the north up til the pool when you enter the dungeon. There's a few that hang around there.

Wow I must be extremely lucky... I've had 3 mask drops in 220.

 

OT: Honestly Range or Melee them, however you want to do it, both ways are pretty quick. I would bring magic defense armor if your going to melee and just whip them. Also bring some B2P tabs so that you can stay down there for hours.
