72-74/75 smithing

I want to get 75 smthing so i can pot up in dungeoneering and make a katagon spear, i was wondering what the best way to do this is. I would like not to spend way to much money doing this because im not the richest person ever and i have a bit of a hard time making money. I was thinking about doing addy plates with hammers but it would cost me around 7.2m and i cant really afford that atm or Mith Plates with sc hammers which would cost around 5.7m and is a little closer to my budget.

 

EDIT: cannonballs are NOT an option because i dont have the time to spend doing them.

You could try Blast Furnace, with sacred hammers. It would certainly be cheaper, since the amount of coal is less. But you'd have to make the bars yourself, and probably make Bolt Tips too so you don't have to alch everything.

 

But the fastest way of getting to that level is making platebodies. If you are at a decent combat level, and slayer level (115+ combat and 75+ slayer) then you could probably make that money back in no time.

 

And, just so you know: Iron Platebodies are close to just 14 gp per experience (Instead of 28 gp per experience from Mithril bars) But Iron Platebodies gives half the experience. You save half your money, but spend double the amount of time.

Time isnt really a problem i just want to get these levels, but do iron/mith plates sell good on the G.E because i dont wanna be stuck with like 2-5m in junk that ill never be able to get rid of.

Well, Iron platebodies might take too long I think.

 

Mithril platebodies, depends on how many you make. I think you can get 100 platebodies sold a week. Or you can alch them if you'd really like.

ugh damn im going to be making like 550 of them so that wont work...grr i guess ill spend the 7.2m to make addy plates unless those dont sell either.

yea i just realized that because i got the lvls mixed up so it looks like its mith plates...damn this is going to be a pain i think ill just wait and do it another way because i dont like the blast furnace mini-game

 

EDIT: What about making mith bolts with hammers(not using blast furnace and buying the bars.

 

2925 mith bars*1981gp/bar = 5,794,425 gp

 

29,250 mith bolts(unf)*93 = 2,720,250 gp

 

total loss from 72 to 75 = 3,074,175

 

this is buying everything AND using SC hammers

You could do bolts. It would be 5x slower, and save you 1m. I check the mithril platebodies, I think you might easily sell 900 in a week or so. If you sell at minimum they might even go instant (Wasn't the case 3-4 months ago)

 

It is still your choice though.

bolts will be ok i think i got alot of time to waste while my gf is in town lol so im bored out of my mind and i need something to waste some time (and dont tell me to go outside or something because atm i cant walk)

Try gold ores.They're pretty easy/cheap to smelt and even faster to superheat(if you superheat the biggest loss will be from the nats rather the ores).No, I don't have a number of the xp/hr, but it should be pretty good since you'll be using the smithing gauntlets(about 52 xp/ore, If I recall correctly).

Can swap them in W2 as junk, either for lending an item or simply swap them for other kind of junk.I'd put them for minimum in GE.

i bought some yesterday for mid when i was making some jewelry and they all bought for mid, atm i need cash more than junk because i dont have any items i can lend out to get rid of the junk.

Just buy them in packs of 1k then.Sell the gold bars when you're done and buy some more ores.

gold ore isnt even buying at max for me so i think i might just stick to doing mith pl8s with sc hammers
