This is my neighbours band, I knew he played but did not know he was in a band until he handed me a CD with all their current songs on.

I have to say, they are not the best, but for an amateur band, they are not as bad as a majority. The only main problem i see is that the Lead is not easy to understand as he seems to be trying to sound grungy but it comes off a but mumbled.

 

Any thoughts on how to improve? If I see him I may pass it on as I doubt many people have herd them to give them feedback.

They're pretty good for an amateur band, I like the vocalist (he does need a little work, his voice sounds kinda 'unrefined'), but some of the songs drag on a bit, so they could work on being a bit more concise. Overall, I like them, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them.

 

By the way, the singer sounds like a combination of Gavin Rossdale (Bush) and Mike Vennart (Oceansize), which kinda scares me.

I think without them, if it was just the music, you would have a hard time thinking it was not a major band.

Agreed, the singer sounds...lazy if that makes sense

Not my favorite type of music, but, could become decent if the singer stops mumbeling. Either clean voice or Kurt Cobain-ee, but this middle way doesn't work. And maybe change the band name.
