Best Attack Style at Bandits?

I'm at the Bandit Camp with my guthan's (I know AZs and Monkey Zombies are better, but I have finals coming up and want to study while a level) and I was wondering if anyone knew which attack style is best. I'm assuming it's either stab or slash, but hopefully someone else may have more than a guess. Any help or opinions appreciated.

I see people everywhere say it's slash. And i've seen that on multiple sites too.

Although i don't think it's thoroughly been tested, as people normally only use slash weapons anyway. And it doesn't make a notable change, ether.

I'm using Guthan's warspear with slash right now.

I'm using Guthan's warspear with slash right now.

A better choice would be to use a whip + def and nietz helm with guthan plate and legs, and then put on guthan's spear and helm only when you need healing. Believe me, the near-complete afk is not worth the slow exp you will get without doing what I just stated.
