Need help with iron dragon slayer task

I got assigned 66 iron dragons, i will not skip this task or go to turael or whatever the low lvl slayer master is called.

What is the best approach to the task and how many kills per trip will i get and what supplies should i bring per trip?

My stats are:

 

Attack: 80

Strength: 78

Defence: 74

Prayer: 55

Summoning: 43

Constitution:77

Combat level: 101

Option 1: Pray melee and 15% atk/str with a whip and full proselyte/initiate/monk.

Option 2: Use antifire pot and mage, preferably with chaos gauntlets and fire bolt.

Option two is as slow as hell btw.

At your levels, it's possible that a leaf-bladed sword is better than a whip. The dragons are weak to stab, but I'm not sure how big the difference is and when exactly a whip becomes better than the leaf-bladed sword. It's definitely worth trying, though.

At least when I was around your slayer level I found I hated the skill because tasks took too long and the experience rate was pathetic. This was because I was stuck in a loop of 6-7 monsters, 3 of which were blacks, irons, and steel dragons. Once I accumulated a few points, I finally got frustrated enough to block steels and worked my way towards blocking the other two as well. After those blocks I found my slayer experience to be a lot better in terms of satisfaction as well as the experience rates.

 

tl;dr-Block the tasks the annoyingly long and slow tasks such as irons/steels.

 

I know you said you want to do this task, and yes I would definitely try it before blocking, but do consider blocking if you absolutely hate the task like I did.
