So this is my first wyverns task with a uni (I melee them btw), and I was just wondering if the invy is any different than with a yip. I used to have a whole invy for food and I rarely had to eat prematurely to get drops, but with a uni I don't know how much food I'll need; and I assume 1 super set will keep me covered, but will my trips be extended enough that I'll want 2 sets? So, any tips?

I couldn't say on skeletal wyverns, but from my experience with a unicorn, I can't think of anything (except maybe the occasional boss) that you'd need food and a unicorn for. I'd take 1 or 2 sharks/taters just in case and two super sets if I were you.

 

But don't blame me if this doesn't work >.> I've had at most one wyvern task with a unicorn and I ranged them.

Best way to figure it out is to go. Bring 1 super set, a couple hundred scrolls, a pouch and some emergency food. Tbh idk how many it takes me and sometimes i have to bank because i run out of food or i don't pay attention when i get low on health.

Karil + melee protect would be helpfull there also with some spare food items in backpack as well as 1-2 pray pots - if you bank bones of course. And whip them till theres last ice breath ;)

 

 

ps. explorer ring 3 will be your best frend during this task.

You should not wear magic defense armor here, you should use range defense gear even if you are praying melee. It depends entirely on your method, if you don't pray melee or piety you will still need a fair amount of food even with a unicorn. I believe I saw you today with a DFS and full bandos, I haven't used them there but I imagine they cut the damage down a lot, probably wont need any food at all if you're using pray melee or piety in that gear. When I used unicorn I used barrows top + v skirt and prayed piety, I usually finished the task in 1 or 2 trips. Enhanced Excalibur is helpful here, and the cabbage ring isn't your best friend, the fairy ring to mudskipper point is.

Indeed that was me, and with a uni, 2 monks and one super set dose I got a full invy of bones. Just if you want to know, I used the ardy monastery teleport to recharge prayer (I pietied whenever I was getting hit too much to keep up with) and then ran to the fairy ring to bank and go to my next trip; it worked fairly well and netted me >300k in bones.

You're much better off leaving piety on the entire time and use d mace for specs. When you're able, turmoil is obviously better and you will never need any food with a unicorn. I would advise against taking a bob and using split alone, though. If you do that, you may need food.

 

All of that could be completely irrelevant for now depending on your prayer level.

 

Also, your bandos/dfs setup is best for wyverns.
