May 8, 201016 yr Hi, I'm sure its been asked many a time before but does getting a moderate or high kill count (13+) in the underground tunnels in Barrows affect the chance of receiving a Barrows item? I've heard it increases the amount of coins, runes and bolt racks but unsure about the Barrow items themselves. Thanks for any help.
May 8, 201016 yr No, it doesn't. I recommend getting a kc of 2-4 as that will yield the best profit. The more kc you get, the less death runes you get and the more racks/blood runes, which are not worth as much as a death rune drop.
May 8, 201016 yr The best chance at getting a Barrow's piece is by killing all 6 of the Brothers. Now whether getting a higher kill count will increase the chance at coins and runes is unconfirmed, i have heard that to get bolt rakes you need at least 10 kills. May 8, 201016 yr You need 3 creature kills for bolt racks, your chance of getting them goes up quite a bit at 4. Get either 3 or 4 KC, nothing higher, nothing less, unless you need to heal up with guthan's.
May 8, 201016 yr KC effects what other items you get from the chest, like runes and bolts. Killing the brothers gives you a chance for barrow equipment. This is what I've heard anyway, I don't know exactly how it works. I've seen people get ridiculously huge KC but they never got proportionately higher runes from the chest compared to 10-15 KC which is what I usually get.
