I'ma gonna go the melee way, as most people do.

 

Which styles are effective on which bosses/monsters?

Bosses Weakness And you can also search for certain creatures on the Wiki. If you're strong enough. you can kill most any creature with any style attack. I just killed the Luminescent Icefiend using a rapier. But it was a primal rapier, i used a regular melee pot, used piety and a tier 10 melee familiar.

Exactly, I can only wield up to gorgonite =[

I can't give you a full extensive list....but..

 

Skeletons are weak to crush

Zombies are weak to slash

Hydra's are weak to slash

Warriors wearing chain bodies are weakest to stab

Warriors wearing Platebodies are weakest to crush (best to use mage on these though)

Ice monsters are weak to Crush

Guard dogs are weak to stab

Bats are weak to stab

Forgotten mages are weak to stab

Forgetten rangers are weak to slash/stab.
