TeamRealT
Background info...... Just about to get 130 combat. After i get it im pry going to take a break and do some skilling or magic training. Ive really taken to the farming skill and would like to get 99 some day but thats a far away goal. I do MTk, farm runs, and sara gwd for money. I have enough to keep me happy atm, but im interested in training herblore a skill ive never really training before. soo... here is my question: I Have a pitiful herblore lvl .... 46. What would i make and about how much would it cost for me to get x-treme pots? In other words: We got a ban hammer in varrock mines. It's jackin yo [censor] bots, slappin yo macros up, tryna ban em, so ya'll need to hide yo scripts, hide yo clicks, and hide yo logs cause they bannin errbody up in here. tonguetamer3
Whenever I do Herblore I always take a look at this web page:http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Potions It has a chart with the "profits per XP" for all of the potions. I organize the chart by "profit per XP," and then just look for the one with the least negative number. I also take into consideration a few other things: 1.) Does it require untradeable ingredients? If so, it may not be feasible for getting a lot of XP.2.) Is there a small difference in "profit per XP" but a big difference in "XP?" If Potion A is 50 XP per potion and -20gp/XP, and Potion B is 100 XP per potion and -21gp/XP, I still might do Potion B, even though it is more expensive, because it will take half the time.3.) Will the potion ever sell on the Grand Exchange? If it is a potion that won't ever sell, then the losses are actually higher than the chart says. The chart has a "Demand" column, but I don't find it to be 100% accurate, so I just go off of my own knowledge on what will sell.Currently Prayer Potions and Super Attack Potions are both looking like good options for you. They are both between -21and -22 gp/XP. Super Attack will be slightly faster XP. You need about 3.2m XP to get 85 Herblore, which is the level I got to to make Extremes using Spicy Stews. 3.2m XP (-21gp/XP) = 67.2m lossSo you would burn 67m to get 85 Herblore doing Super Attacks or Prayer Potions (assuming prices remain constant during your training time). Zephy
Regular energy potions would get you there for less. They're low exp but only 18.65 gp/xp buying unfinished potions. They have the advantage of not relying on being able to sell the products. They're also lower exp than your other options.84 is really enough if you don't care about extreme defense. Moreover, 84 unlocks the lower untradeable potions that you will probably want as well, and making those will get you some exp. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate. PereGrin
I'm not much higher herblore then you. If you are buying herblore up, then you should check the ge prices for grimy herbs + secondaries. Then subtract the cost of the 3 dose pot for the net loss. Since you are going to be farming anyway, I would suggest perhaps farming avantoe. I calculated that if I get 84 herblore making super energies, then I can get 93 herblore turning those super energies into spec restores. It would take 22k avantoe, and thus 22k fungi and 22k papayas. All in all it would cost about 70m worth of secondaries, and about 120m worth of avantoe. So you are looking at about 190m cost. I know one of the cheapest ways to get it is to make serum 207 with tarromin and ashes. I think this costs about 80m to get lvl 90 herblore. But you end up making about 100k potions or something insane like that. I am currently trying to farm enough herbs to get 93 herblore. I have papaya trees planted, and I collect papayas twice a day, and I try to do like 3-5 herb runs a day. I get approximately 750 avantoe per 100 seeds. Good luck!
