Slayer_Jesse
hey there. i just recently maxed out melee ftw :D so its time to train my worst combat stat, range. problem is, its been so long since i trained it i need a few pointers :s Im level 87 range, and will be using full slayer helm with ferocious ring.My questions are:1. when should i repot with range potion?2. Should i use knives, and what type? (id be willing to use up to black.)3. if i should, on what monsters?4. how much xp/hr can i expect with knives/rune cross with broad? (not using prayer) also, please dont suggest training outside of slayer. im doing slayer and that's final. [hide=Siggy credits]The Awesome, Epic, Amazing, S3xah A-10 Sig By Unolexi! miracleman58
Ive been training range with slayer since level 87 Range, now level 93. Ive been using Steel Darts, prices is around same as iron knives. Always have a cannon in your bank for tasks you can use it on. Kuradels ring and knives are better than using a crossbow in kuradels dungeon. In regards to the range pot just pot when you feel like it i do after my level has dropped 6 ot 7, range potions are alot more expensive than melee pots aswell so its up to you. XP/H is probably around 40-60k depending on task. Hope this helps, ill answer more questions if you need. 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.

miracleman58
if you have armadly and a blessed spirit shield or DFS you should be able to tank fire giants pretty succsefully, but im not sure because i usually use a Bunyip. I do FG's in brimhaven so i cant really help in regards to a safe spot, sorry. 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.
Cptbaker08
You can also safe spot FGs behind the Baxtorian Waterfall. You can also cannon them there if you're into cannoning. Also if you don't mind spending money, using a cannon on tasks can be quite helpful. Bloodstain
ok thanks. one last question, i got a fire giants task, is there sa pot in chaos tunnels i can safespot? i plan to use geyser titan to speed kills. You can funnel them on the west side i think it is, near the portal. There's a stretch against the wall where the ground is only one space wide, so you can catch the giants on that, or on the rock just to the north of it. Super def pots are cheap cheap cheap, so bring one or two if you don't want to safe spot and you should be fine For potting, I always do it when my range reaches base level+5.
