Spectral Vs DFS

 

In summer i intend to do a lot of: solo arma, solo bandos, "Tri"brid Dks, with lots of corp.

 

I do not wish to purchase both shields so i wan't to pick one which will be the best overall shield for these bosses.

 

Spectral clearly wins for arma and corp (reason i'd be using shield for corp is to LBS tank and Hybrid stun) however theres a different story for bandos and DKs

 

Spetral has the advantage of +30 mage defense however loses about 20 defence on stab and slash compared to DFS which also has +20 ranged defence more than spectral.

 

To prioritise the order of the frequency in which i wil do these bosses from most frequent to least: Corp > DKs > Solo bandos > solo arma.

 

Money is not a problem i could quite easily purchase both shields, however i want to keep cash to merchant with.

 

 

SO WHATS THE BEST OVERALL SHIELD? :rolleyes:

I'd say they are about the same. It doesn't really matter though, as it's killing prime that slows you down hybriding rather than supreme.

 

Claws and balmung are a very good way of disposing of supreme :thumbsup:

 

Conclusion: use Balmung (marginal difference but fun to see high hits - 690 is my max so far with ovl, 99 str and piety)

Whip is better cuz you can use a shield.

IT's the fact that getting balmung requres me doing diaries and quests etc. which i can't really be bothered doing, so i want to know if the balmung is ereally a lot better, and if i should bother getting it lol.
